His other hand slipped down to the base of my cock, then he leaned forward, opening his mouth and licking his lips.

“No,” I gurgled. “No.”

His lips brushed my tip.

And then heavy footsteps sounded, rushing down the corridor outside.

The door flew open in the next second, making Samuel draw back abruptly.

He spun and shifted his weight in the process as three robes rushed in.

“We need to go. Now, Sir.”

“What are you talking about?”

“An attack is imminent. Hostiles are incoming.”

Samuel cursed and, as he went to move, it managed to free my leg from beneath him.

I wrapped it around him, squeezing around his throat and then hooking my other one to intensify my hold, forcing his head to my stomach as I choked him out.

He struggled and flailed.

It was all too short-lived, though, as the robes wrenched him free.

In the chaos, I heard a small clatter, and I looked to see the key to the cuffs. I covered it with my leg.

“Secure the perimeter. He’s not going anywhere,” Samuel hissed, glaring at me in absolute fury that I’d almost choked him out.

“We need to get you out, per protocol. We’ll stay to defend,” his men were telling him, even as they ushered him out.

The door clanged shut then and I heard their footsteps disappearing.

Adrenaline thrummed through me like livewires and I worked on getting my hand on the key. I twisted and strained, swallowing down the pain it was causing my wounded body just to move slightly, let alone exert what I was right now.

I managed to trap the key between my bare feet, and then I stretched back and fucking well contorted my body enough to drop it by my right hand.

I grabbed it with my fingers, then twisted them until I managed to slot it into the hole. Turning it was a whole other nightmare at this messed-up angle. It took so fucking long, I was sweating with the strain of the focus and holding my body so still during the process.

When I finally managed it and the cuff opened, relief like I hadn’t felt in so long rushed over me. With my right hand free, unlocking the left one was child’s play.

I pushed myself up into a sitting position, my head swimming with a shitload of dizziness.

After taking an aggravating moment until it eased off enough where I could move without the risk of passing out or puking my guts up all over myself, I reached out and grabbed my boxers.

I’d just slid them on when commotion reached me from the corridor.

Screams. Shouts.

And then gunfire.

Heavy, automatic fire.

I heard doors slamming then, locks clanging.

And then it happened to my cell door, and it was thrown open, thudding violently against the wall.

Someone slapped the light switch that was only on the outside, and the room flooded with light, making me blink rapidly to try to adjust to it.
