As I stared after him, intending to head downstairs also, something pulled me up short.

She deserves to live a normal life free of dangerous elements.

A normal life?

The last time she’d had that had been with her uncle.

“He’s my dad’s older brother.”

He was connected to Lance.

And he was on the outside, a civilian.

Uncle Drew.

It was a longshot, but with him being out in the world, as opposed to hiding in the shadows like other connections to Lance such as Olivia, it was worth a shot, a way to bridge the gap and track down that motherfucker and Aurora by extension.

I’d wanted to find another way, through Revenant directly, because she’d told me about him in confidence, she’d let her guard now and trusted me. I didn’t want to fuck with that, it meant a lot to me. Plus, I also understood that going after her uncle would put him in jeopardy. It could lead both the Infidels and the Heretics to his door. But with Revenant stonewalling, and Asher down, it had now become the only viable option to bring Aurora back to us.

I didn’t have much to go on, especially without Aurora’s phone to pull intel from, but Caleb had proven to be a hell of a talent in that area.

I shoved my phone into the pocket of my hoodie and headed downstairs.

As I made it into the living room, I found that Caleb and Aaron were no longer there doing their best to transcend the intensity since we’d gotten Asher back. He’d been in such a debilitated state that it had shocked everyone seeing it up close and in so much disturbing detail. They’d been talking about their exploits in the field, the two of them then sharing their stories of going up against the Infidels. Caleb with the recent takedowns, especially the recent auction mission, then Aaron with him going directly against Carson by secretly training Asher and then connecting him with several other trainers who he’d then spent years learning from too.

I strode through the house, peering into the kitchen.

Jonah was there moving about and grabbing ingredients to make Asher his comfort food.

Not wanting to interrupt now that he was getting into it and focusing his mind on something else other than Asher’s pain, I spun back the way I’d come and made my way to the front porch. Caleb often headed out there to smoke.

Sure enough, the door was ajar and I heard their voices.

No, it wasn’t their voices I was hearing.

A chill rolled down my spine as I recognized it as my father’s.

And then Ash’s.

“Being made to feel pleasure while experiencing utter degradation is another thing entirely. It’s an epic mind-fuck, little prince.”

I winced as I heard a struggle, hissing, then spluttering.

“Choke it all down like my fucking whore.”

I peered around the door out onto the porch and zoned in on a laptop screen that Caleb was holding up between him and Aaron.

I saw Asher there naked, bloodied and pained.

And my father was sitting on him, playing with his cock.

“Don’t. Don’t do this.”

“Was that you begging, little prince? Finally getting somewhere, are we?”

Aaron registered my presence and spun around.

It had Caleb quickly exiting out of the video, then turning around too.
