“Shut it,” I hissed.

“Oh yes,” Reed leaned forward and placed a finger to his lips. “Be q-quiet. But only about who you fuck, right Tate? Secrets, that’s what you’re good at.”

“You’re so obnoxious when you’re drunk.”

“At l-least I’m honest,” Reed waved his glass around, spilling the contents all over his hand.

“Really?” I asked and tossed him a napkin to clean up. “And what about that kiss today?”

Reed stared at me with glassy green eyes. “It was so fucking hot.”

I couldn’t help the bark of laughter at his blunt admission.

“Yes, it was.”

I said it. Why not?

Chance are, Reed would forget this convo by morning.

“Wait! I need to m-mark this day down,” Reed announced. “Tate admitted that he l-likes kissing men.”

Only the seagulls nearby heard him.

“I admitted that kissing you was hot,” I corrected him.

Reed was suddenly silent and set his glass down. Then he put his arms on the table and dropped his head down.

“Reed?” I asked.

When he didn’t answer, I got up and walked around the end of the table. “Reed, are you?—"

A loud snore interrupted my question. He was passed out cold.

“I guess he’s done for the night.”

Dylan’s sudden voice startled me. I turned around to find him, Charlie, one of the deck crew, and Kiernan, one of the bodyguards, staring at me.

Had they all heard our conversation?

“We’ll get him to a room so he can sleep it off,” Charlie assured me.

Charlie walked over and gently shook Reed’s shoulder. I watched as he and Kiernan helped him get up. Dragged him, more like.

Shaking my head, I walked over to the other end of the deck and leaned on the railing.

“Reed’s fighting something. Hard,” Dylan remarked as stood beside me. “I just hope he faces it soon. Drinking ain’t gonna solve nothin’.”

“It was a stressful day. I’m sure by tomorrow, he’ll be okay.”

“And what about you?”

“Me? I’m fine,” I answered automatically. “Nothing happened.”

“Sure.” Dylan shook his head. “That’s why you were fucking his mouth on set today.”

I choked on nothing but my own spit and air. “We had to kiss, so we kissed.”

“It’s me, Tate. I’ve been on enough sets to know the difference between acting and real passion. I know what I saw.”
