I was lost in my lusty daydream when the bathroom door opened a few minutes later. Startled, I bolted upright.

“Ready?” Reed asked.

Dressed in tight black pants and a blue patterned button down with the sleeves rolled up, he walked over to stand between my legs. I fought the urge to shove him down on this mattress and show him how ready I really was.

“Tate?” he asked, concern on his face.

“Yes. Of course. After you.”

I followed him out of the bedroom, quickly adjusting myself.

Thankfully, it was a quick elevator ride to the lobby and our rideshare was already waiting in front of the hotel. Twenty minutes later, we pulled up to Jared’s condo.

One of his fiancés, Alex, greeted us. I remembered him from that trip to Thailand and I could see why the director had fallen hard for his bodyguard. The man was seriously intense. And handsome in a rugged way, with pale blue eyes and a grip that was just shy of painful.

“Come on in, gents. Jared and Aiden are just finishing the preparations for dinner. Did you have a good flight?”

We stepped inside their home, and something smelled amazing.

“It was great, except for Tate’s turbulent snoring, which kept everyone on the plane from sleeping.”

“I don’t snore! You’re just a light sleeper.”

“Please. Jet engines are quieter,” Reed scoffed.

“Are you two arguing already?” Jared yelled out.

He walked down the hallway with his arm wrapped around Aiden, the other fiancé.

Funnily enough, Aiden reminded me of my cat with his auburn hair and prickly demeanor. He had a face that was all sharp angles, not to mention a fierce expression. I recalled how possessive he was about Alex and Jared on that trip. How angry he’d been that Reed was flirting with Alex.

No surprise how that ended up.

“Bickering, Jared, bickering. There’s a big difference,” I insisted as I offered my hand to him and then Aiden.

“That’s what I tell him all the time, but he never listens,” Aiden commented. “Nice to see you again, Tate, Reed. Jared has been telling us more stories about your recent movies.”

“Oh, shit,” Reed blurted out.

Aiden chuckled. “Exactly.”

“And yet, Jared keeps hiring us,” I replied with a smirk.

Jared rolled his eyes. “That’s because when you finally do get your heads out of your asses, magic happens.”

“I always thought the magic happens when the head is in my ass,” I quipped.

Aiden’s bark of laughter echoed loudly.

“Tay! What the hell?” Reed shook his head, his cheeks flaming red.

“Tate, you and I are going to become very good friends,” Aiden announced.

“Oh, shit,” Jared and Alex said at the same time.

Two hours, and a three course Italian feast later, we settled in Jared’s living room with green tea for Reed and Jared and espresso for the rest of us.

“How goes the plan with Henn?” Jared asked.
