“Whatever.” Keith rolled his eyes. “We better get going if we’re going to get a table.”

“Okay, I’m ready. How about you, cutie?”

“I’m ready.” He went up on his toes and gave me a quick kiss, and for just a minute, I considered trying to convince his sexy ass to stay in instead of going to the club.

But I didn’t even try because I was really looking forward to an evening out with Spencer away from River Gorge. It would be nice not to watch what we said. Not that I gave a shit. I didn’t care who knew I was a Daddy and Spencer was my boy, but it did matter to me that Spencer was comfortable with what people knew about him and our relationship.

Keith had declared himself the designated driver for the evening, so we took his car. I’d always loved Keith’s car. It was a 1968 Camaro that he’d bought for little to nothing when he was in his early twenties. It had been pretty much trashed, and he’d taken years remodeling it.

We went out of the door in the kitchen that led into the garage. “Oh wow,” Spencer said. “This is a beautiful car. It looks like the one Cody’s working on. Is it the same?”

“Shh, don’t let Keith hear you say that. His baby is a Camaro, not a Charger.”

Spencer looked at me, eyes wide. “They’re different?”

“Yeah.” I chuckled. “They’re different.”

I reached down and pulled the lever to let the seat fall forward so we could access the backseat.

Spencer slipped by me and hopped in the back. “You need the legroom way more than I do.”

“Thank you, baby boy.” I leaned in and motioned for him to come closer. He slid toward me, and I brushed my lips across his. Then, I stepped back and put the seat back in place before climbing in.

“Hey, cutie.” I looked over my shoulder at him. “Is your friend, Julius, meeting us?”

“He is. I told him we could come pick him up, but he said he would just get a rideshare.”

“Good. Glad to hear it. I want you to be comfortable and have a good time tonight.”

“I will because I’m with you, but I’m glad Julie’s coming. I haven’t seen him in ages.”

“This Julius is a friend of yours?” Keith looked up at Spencer in the rearview mirror.

“Yeah, we’ve been friends since we were teenagers.”

“And what’s his last name?” Keith asked. “I’m just wondering if maybe I know him.”

“You might,” Spencer said. “He goes to Kirby’s a lot. His last name is Wilder.”

“Long hair, piercing, and tattoos? Really pretty?”

“That would be Julie.”

“He’s sassy,” Keith said with a chuckle.

“He is that, no doubt.” Spencer leaned forward, sticking his head between the seats. “Please tell me you haven’t hooked up with him ‘cause that could get awkward.”

“No, he isn’t my type, and I’m pretty sure I’m not his,” Keith said, confirming what I thought as he pulled into the parking lot.

We walked into Kirby’s, and I tucked Spencer up under my arm. He was mine, and I wanted to make sure everyone knew it.

“Look, one of the booths in the back is open,” Keith pointed out.

“Works for me.” I put my hand on Spencer’s back to lead him to the booth. The place might not be crowded yet, but that didn’t mean there weren’t plenty of single Daddies lurking around watching my boy walk into the place. Not that I blamed them. He was stunning, but watching better be as far as it went, or I wouldn’t be responsible for my actions.

“Did you text your friend and let him know where to find us?” Nash asked a few minutes later.
