I started peppering his face with kisses because that always worked when I needed him to smile.

“You’re allowed to have bad days,” I said in between sniffly pecks, “but I’m also allowed to go off on you until you’re a good Daddy again.”

He chuckled thickly and cupped my face in his hands. “That’s a fair deal.”

It worked! His eyes were a little red, but he was smiling!

“I love you so much, Noa.”

“I love you too.” I cupped as face as well, only I smushed his stubbly cheeks together, ’cause that was funny. “Cutie patootie.”

“Cute?” he retorted. “I’m sexy as fuck.”

I grinned so wide. “Especially now.”

He crossed his eyes and stuck out his tongue, making me giggle.

He was so funny!

“When we get married, we should make funny faces in all the pictures,” I laughed.

He grinned and kissed my nose. “It’ll be even funnier if we make faces in Lucian and Cam’s wedding photos.”

Oh my gosh, hysterical! “They will be so mad! I can picture Uncle Lucian giving us that look that says his patience is running thin.”

Daddy chuckled. “Well, it’s not our fault they’re probably gonna host a boring, super-romantic fairy-tale wedding. I mean, where’re the explosions? The alligators?”

“Exactly!” I cried out. “Now we’re talkin’. Weddings should be fun.”

He nodded firmly, totally on my side.

I booped his nose. “We’ll show ’em how it’s done one day.”

“Absofuckinglutely.”

When we returned to the port, I was what one might call smug as a chipmunk in a rug! Because yeah, Daddy had spoiled me, and we rolled up on the big ramp with two Squishmallows, tons of souvenirs, and our bellies filled with nachos, ice cream, and candy. I’d even gotten something for Nut’s terrarium! A chunk of wood.

I liked wood.

“Tell me if I’m too heavy, Daddy,” I said. I was leaning back a little and had my legs over the armrest so he could see properly, but I wasn’t exactly featherlight.

“Nonsense. You’re not leaving my lap anytime soon.”

Okeydoke!

I sucked on my lollipop as Daddy maneuvered us to the elevators, and that was where we met up with some of the others. Tate and Master Kingsley had enjoyed a beach day. River, Reese, and Shay had returned from their deep-sea fishing even more tanned than before.

“And I see your Daddy spoiled you rotten, Noa,” Reese said as we entered the elevator together.

Good thing it was only us here. Not that I was sure Reese would care either way.

“Yup!” I grinned around my lollipop.

“He earned it.” Daddy kissed my shoulder.

“You sure, buddy?” Reese hugged Shay to him and nipped at his jaw. “’Cause I hear we’re on a cruise with a bunch of hell-raisers.”
