Easton stands beside Parker in a white, short-sleeve shirt and beige shorts, bouncing on his heels in excitement. He’s Parker’s best man and arguably the star of the show.

My eyes lock on the man of the moment. The man of my dreams. Everything else fades away as I gravitate toward him.

My uncle kisses my cheek before passing my hand to Parker.

“Sum! Sum!” Easton whisper shouts, stealing my attention and making the guests chuckle.

“Yes, sweetheart?”

“You look pwetty,” he says with a megawatt smile, and I melt inside. Leaning down, I place a kiss on his cheek.

“Thank you. You look incredibly handsome.” I ruffle his hair and watch as his chest swells with pride at my comment.

Parker clears his throat. “You know I’m here too, right?”

Laughing, I admit, “You look pretty damn perfect too, Mr. Hawthorne.”

The officiant smiles and begins the ceremony. I’m trying to focus on what he’s saying, but all I can think is that this is it. Finally, surrounded by our loved ones, I can call both of these boys mine. We signed the last of the documents last week for me to officially adopt Easton. It was the easiest decision I have ever made. This little boy has been my world since he came toddling into my life. I couldn’t imagine life without him.

“You may kiss the bride!” Our families cheer, and I can hear Harrison wolf whistling.

Parker shoots me a grin that has me wishing we were alone before he takes my face in his hands and kisses me like this may be the last chance he has. He pours his heart and soul into the kiss, and I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that this is exactly where I am meant to be.

The reception is in full swing, and the cake has been cut. We decided on a traditional-looking three-tiered white cake, but when you cut into it, it has multicolored sponges inside. I told Parker he was in charge of the cake, and when I asked what he wanted to eat at his wedding, his answer was me.

The live music playing in the marquee is incredible. I have no idea how Parker managed to get Noah Jackson to play, but Alice and Honor sure appreciate it. I’m not sure which one is his biggest groupie at this point.

“I think I’m in love,” Honor sings as she spins me around the dance floor, her mint-green bridesmaid dress swishing with the movement.

Rolling my eyes, I say, “I think that’s the tequila talking.”

“Pffft, don’t harsh my mellow, lovebug. You’re taken—let us single ladies have some fun.” She wiggles her hips, and I snort.

“Girl’s got a point,” Alice agrees, handing me another flute of champagne and clinking hers with Honor.

“Excuse me, ladies. Do you mind if I steal my wife away?” a deep voice says from behind, snaking his strong arm around my waist and kissing my jaw.

“Please do. She’s cramping our style anyway,” Honor jokes, winking at me before stealing my flute and following Alice closer to the stage and their crush.

Taking my hand, Parker leads me down onto the beach and away from the marquee set up for the reception. Slipping off my heels, I follow him to the waterfront. The moonlight is bright, glistening off the sea, and the steady sound of the tide is hypnotic.

“Have you had a good day, Mrs. Hawthorne?” he asks, his smile so wide it’s adorable. His thumb traces the back of my palm, and even the subtle touch has me biting my lip in anticipation.

“It’s Rainbow Girl to you. Mrs. Hawthorne is your grandmother,” I tease. “I’m having the best day. Where’s East?”

“He crashed out after raiding the dessert cart. My mom put him to bed.”

Laughing, I wrap my arms around his neck and say, “Dance with me?”

The soft sound of Noah’s singing drifts down to us, and he sways with me, his body pressed against mine. Resting my head against his chest, I savor this moment. The moment where everything makes sense.

“Have I told you how breathtaking you look today?” he whispers into the shell of my ear, sending goose bumps down my arms.

“You have, but don’t let me stop you from telling me again.” I sink further into his embrace, content to stay here for eternity.

His soft chuckle has my head bouncing lightly on his chest.

“What am I going to do with you, wife?”
