“You’re fucking kidding me, right? Like, where are the cameras?”
Alex steps towards me, wrapping his arm around my waist and sliding his hand in my back pocket. “I think they’re serious, Wy.”
“We are,” Mel says, stepping in front of Nate and leaning back against her husband’s chest. His hands land on her hips, squeezing them in what seems to be a move to comfort himself, not her.
“It was the most eye-opening experience of our lives,” Nate says quietly.
“So far anyway,” Mel says, shooting me a wink.
“I just need to understand a bit more, I think,” I say.
“Let me start,” Nate says, his hand landing on my arm after we’ve all sat back down where we originally were.
Our eyes meet, and he takes a deep breath before he starts.
“I think I’ve always known on some level that I’m attracted to men.”
A breath leaves my lungs quickly, sharply. “Okay, then.”
“But it’s very apparent I’m also attracted to women. I mean, look at her,” Nate says, staring lovingly at his wife.
She smiles back at him, but all I can see is the love of my life, staring at Mel.
This could get messy. Quick.
“Both of us lived fairly sheltered lives. Raised by parents with traditional values and lifestyles. And while our families are both open-minded and accepting and affirming, it took time for them to get there.”
Alex nods. He remembers the strain between Mel and her parents when they were uncomfortable around us. They finally realized how bigoted they were being, but it stayed rocky for a while even after they reconciled.
“So, kink wasn’t something we really understood outside of books and porn,” Nate says with a shrug.
I nod, encouraging him to continue.
“I found the website for the resort on a happy accident. I searched for adult-only resorts mainly because we wanted a kid-free trip… free from everybody’s kids.”
We all chuckle at that as he continues.
“It was one of those sponsored results on Google, you know? The advertisements at the top? And it said something like ‘unlock your every desire’ in the headline. I clicked it before I even thought about it really.”
“Did you know?” Alex asks Mel. “Did he tell you beforehand?”
“He did not. And I was pleasantly surprised, to say the least.” She laughs and leans towards Alex, resting her head on his shoulder.
Her dress has ridden up just a bit, and his hand lands on her bare thigh without reservation. I cock one brow at him, smirking at his comfort level.
“So what exactly did y’all get up to down there?”
“At first, we just watched a lot of people have sex,” Nate says, laughing at himself. “Like, a lot of people.”
“Really?” I ask, relaxing at the revelation that our two best friends are as kinky as we are. Well, at least it seems that way.
“Yeah, our conversations with each other about our kinks and fantasies have always been open and honest, and we try really hard to be truthful, even if we think there’s some level of taboo or the forbidden to whatever we’re into.” Mel snuggles further into the couch, tucking her feet up underneath her ass and trapping Alex’s hand between her smooth thighs that still hold a trace of copper from their time in the sun.
