Naomi whimpers but acquiesces.

The final orgasm shatters her. I let go of her wrists where I’ve held them above her head, allowing her to curl into herself as she shakes with aftershocks.

Bex comes up with a satisfied grin on her face before she slides off the bed to grab baby wipes to clean Naomi up.

Looking over at the woman curled into a ball, I reach over to brush her hair back out of her face.

“You did so good, bunny,” I soothe, but she lets out a keening noise. “Are you okay?”

She nods, and I don’t press her for words, knowing from experience how overwhelmed she is after having Bex’s mouth on her for such a long time. Tenderness thaws in my chest, and I reach to gather her in my arms and untie the cuffs from around her wrists.

She’s so soft and pliant, warm and comforting.

Bex comes back and cleans up Naomi as well as gives us all water. I help tip the bottle so Naomi can take sips.

Quickly, Naomi’s breathing evens out and she falls asleep.

I crawl out from beneath her and get up to go to the bathroom as Bex curls up with the exhausted girl.

Looking back at them cuddled together brings warmth to my chest and a lightness to my mind that’s been evading me recently.

I’m so fucked.

Chapter 14

Bex

The rest of the weekend is easy and carefree between the three of us. Sending Naomi back to school, though, is a lot more difficult.

There’s a drop from the high of having her around, and I’m struggling to wade my way through the emotions that are roiling in my stomach. We talk every day, the group chat is busy as ever, and Alvie is even chiming in more than normal. There’s still an ache, though, because of the sheer distance between us.

Of course, Alvie is the first to notice, but thankfully, he gives me space for the better part of two weeks.

It’s not until the next Wednesday night, when we’re getting ready for bed, that he breaks the silence between us after my fourth sigh in as many minutes.

“You want to talk about it?” he asks patiently as he washes his face.

“Yes. Oh, my goddess.” I collapse beside him on the bench beside the vanity.

Alvie laughs. “You could have asked.”

“I know. I just . . .”

“It’s okay,” he says, pulling me up and into his firm body so he’s cradling me in his arms.

“I just miss her. This is so silly!”

“It’s not silly at all, Bex.” Alvie smirks. “You’re allowed to get excited about a new relationship, and it’s normal to want to spend time with that person to continue to build that relationship. All things considered, you’re doing great.”

“Well, that was . . . ,” I trail off, surprised by his words.

“Straightforward?” he finishes smugly.

“Yeah.”

“It’s why you love me, though.” He nuzzles into my hair.

“One of many reasons.” I huff. “I just wish that this wasn’t so hard. And I’m worried about her. I think school is taking more of a toll on her than she’s letting on.”
