“He’s helping Val and Holly get stuff out of their truck,” Elsie supplies.
“Got it. Gonna go help them, then.” he says, pointing to the door, turning to head back outside.
“Okay. Put me to work, Elsie,” I say, clapping my hands.
“Perfect. Jay dropped off a few bottles of celebratory vodka for the happy couple as a gift. Chris and Beaux are unpacking the rest of the stuff they brought, putting it into the ice buckets. Beaux said Chris went a little overboard and made 200 Jell-O shots for tonight. I think ze had the right idea.” She giggles.
“I agree.” I laugh, just as ze comes over.
“Hey, Bex.” Chris says, as ze gives me a hug and a kiss on the cheek. “Long time no see.”
“It has been a while, hasn’t it?” I say. “Y’all’ve been busy!”
“Yeah, well. Beaux just started a new job, and you know how that goes.” Ze sighs. “He’s overworking himself, but I can’t get him to slow down. He keeps telling me to come out by myself, and I keep meaning to, but it’s just hard to drag myself out of the house sometimes.”
I nod in understanding.
“Well, y’all are here tonight. So, let’s make sure everything is perfect for Selene and Gunnar and we can have a great time together, catch up, and whatnot.”
“Excellent!” Elsie cheers.
We settle into a comfortable rhythm as we set up the remainder of the decor and other items for the evening. Soon enough, music starts filtering through the club and members start to trickle in for the evening.
The energy in the room is intoxicating.
It’s gonna be a great night.
Chapter 4
Naomi
Somehow, it took nearly three hours to get ready for the night. By the time we finish, I am ready for a nap, not a night out.
Never in my life has going out to a club involved packing a bag, but evidently this is a necessary part of the evening. Several changes of clothes, shoes, and makeup for touch-ups have all been neatly packed away for both of us in matching pink-and-teal duffle bags Selene got for us.
Despite my protest, I’m ready for the night clad in a body-hugging dress, that makes me feel like a sausage, and wedges that make me fear gravity. Selene insists that I look amazing, but I can’t help but be self-conscious about how my tits and ass are threatening to pop out of the garment. I will give her credit, though, for picking out something that shows off the collarbone tattoos I love. She even had me place highlighter along them to make the floral motif glitter in the light.
Selene chose a stunning, red, mini wrap dress that drapes over her curves like a Giuseppe Sanmartino sculpture. Her heels are towering and nearly put her at my own 5’6” stature. Her dark hair, streaked with auburn, is curled to perfection, and her lips are painted a bright red to match her dress.
Gunnar, on the other hand, is simply dressed in a collared shirt, dress pants, and his nice pair of cowboy boots.
Goddess, I envy men sometimes.
"You sure we have enough stuff?" I ask, looking around at the multiple bags and coolers that are accompanying us for the night.
"Mhmm. If we run out of anything, I'm sure the others will have us covered," Selene replies. "Let's go!"
The trip over to the club takes no time at all from our villas. It's late in the evening, nearly 10 p.m., but evidently very early for our night. I've already been told not to expect to go to bed before 2 a.m. tonight.
Walking into the club itself is like walking into an entirely different world. The entrance leads into an impressive lobby that looks more like an art museum than the lobby of a sex club. There's a line of people in front of us leading up to a check-in desk, but Selene and Gunnar ignore the other guests waiting in line and walk up to the girl behind the desk, clad in a blue babydoll dress.
"Selene!" the woman cries as she abandons her post to round the desk and give Selene a hug and a kiss on the lips, shocking me. "Hey, baby. How are you?"
"So good, girl. We all good to go in?" Selene asks, returning the hug and placing a kiss on each of the girls’ cheeks.
“Should be,” Gunnar says.
"Yup. You're already in the system and all paid up. I'm guessing this is the single gal we have on the presale list for tonight?"
