Bex: How was the drive?
Naomi: Long . . . but I made it. I’m gonna unpack and then take a well-deserved nap.
Bex: We really wore you out this weekend, didn’t we?
Naomi: You really did. It’s been a while since I’ve partied like that. Y’all go hard. : ROFL emoji:
Bex: We enjoy a good time. No shame in it.
Naomi: Not at all. If anything, I feel like I need more weekends like this. I’ve never slept so well.
Bex: Oooh. You had the good kind of sub drop Saturday, didn’t you?
Naomi: Maybe? I don’t actually know what that means.
Bex: It’s like when you drop on a roller coaster. You’re up high in the moment during a scene, and then you come crashing down. Sometimes, it’s a good thing, like sleeping really soundly, but it can also be scary if it’s the bad kind.
Naomi: Well, I guess I’ll just have to avoid the bad kind then.
Bex: It’s not an if, but more of a when situation. You’ll eventually run into it the more you play, and it’s just about knowing what you need in those moments.

Alvaro: Fine. Know that you never have to do that alone, though. Call someone next time.
Naomi: Thank you. I’ll keep that in mind.
I chuckle at how concerned he sounds. We barely spoke a handful of words between us, but here he is, fussing after me like a single dad at his daughter’s first dance recital.
