“No,” he answered sharply, his tone was the truth.

“Did you authorize someone to ambush her?” I asked.

“No,” he replied bluntly. His answers eased my heart somewhat, but it still left me curious as to who had ambushed her. Regardless, it wasn’t Antonio.

“Antonio, do you plan to use me as a weapon?” I asked curious.

“What the fucking hell is that meant to mean? Are you kidding me? No, you are innocent, born into a monster world which your mother protected you from thankfully. You deserve much better than that scum. I will never harm a hair on your head.”

“I’m a Dellucci,” I reminded him.

He went silent. “Princess, we will talk about this later. I love you.” I froze on the spot at the words that came out his mouth. I didn’t mean them to come out that way. They did and now Antonio had something new to deal with.

“What did you say?”

“I said ‘I need you,’” I lied.

“Don’t lie to me. I get mad when people lie to me. Now you have two options here, you either tell me the truth, now or when I get home, I spank that sexy bottom of yours.” I heard the chuckle in his voice.

“In that case,” I said, ‘I need you,” I smiled.

“Spank it is and boy am I going to enjoy making your ass red. You’re aware I have tools to not allow you to sit down for a week?” he threatened me.

“Oh, I can hardly wait.”

“We are here. Now go and get that backside polished because the wolf is coming,” he jested.

Chapter 34

ANTONIO

Inever wanted to tell her the truth, or at least I hoped I had more time to explain, but she knows the truth now and maybe she can understand my resentment and why I hated the Dellucci’s. I sighed and thought about my father and how this moment would be for him, casting his revenge, making sure I wore Malinco and Ricco’s blood. I wanted to make sure they both were dead with no chance of ever coming back. I had to make sure Daniella was safe, I didn’t wish us to be looking over our shoulders and waiting for the enemy to turn up. Then when she asked the ultimate question about her mother, I could hardly tell her the truth, that I preferred to do face-to-face as she won’t take that news likely if anything it would break her heart.

“Boss who was that?” Carlo asked.

“Daniella.”

“Does she know the truth about her?”

I faced Carlo. “No, I believe she has no idea.”

“Holy shit. Are you planning to tell her?” Carlo asked.

“No, but Dellucci will.” I stared forward to see us pulling up in front of the club.

“How the hell…”

“I will worry about that…let’s just say if he shows up, he stays alive long enough to tell her, that monster won’t get away with this.” I inhale a deep breath; aware my fate hangs in the balance.

I climbed out the car and made my way into the main door aware the orders had been given for no one to be here. This had to be only me a Ricco with no innocent lives caught in the middle.

I made my way in finding Drew, my club head of security, stood broad and dressed in his black suit and shirt.

“No one is here yet,” Drew informed me.

“Very well, I will wait.”

“Can I get you a drink?” he asked.
