“I don’t understand humans. They have emotions and drives that make them want to fuck—emotions and drives you and I lacked for most of our lives—but they don’t want to use them!”

“Look, you know that’s not something we’re supposed to be talking about—especially not to human females!” Light exclaimed, frowning. “We’ll offend Lili and drive her away—is that what you want?”

“No, no—it’s not a problem,” Lili said quickly. “I don’t mind. I understand that the two of you are still getting used to having feelings. And honestly, finding a man who’s actually willing to talk about his feelings is really refreshing.”

Light and Dark both frowned at this.

“So…human males don’t want to talk about their emotions?” Light asked her.

Lili shook her head.

“Most of the time, no—not at all. And it causes all kinds of problems! Because when you talk about your feelings, you can better understand what’s causing them—why you’re having them. And that helps you deal with them because not all emotions are fun to feel, you know,” she added.

“Like the emotion I had when that male was staring at you and I could tell he wanted to hurt you,” Dark growled, remembering. “That wasn’t very fucking pleasant—I felt like I did back when we went into battle on our home planet. I wanted to fucking pound him!”

“But you didn’t—which was good,” Light said quickly.

Dark frowned—he knew his twin was worried that he would lose control if The Fury overtook him and get them in trouble. But so far he hadn’t felt any Berserker urges at all—except the one he’d had to pound Lili’s stalker. And he had controlled that without a problem. Well, without much of a problem, he amended to himself.

“It’s okay—I appreciate the two of you standing up for me and protecting me,” Lili said, smiling. “And I think it’s fascinating to talk about emotions with you—especially since you’re experiencing them for the first time. So don’t be afraid to tell me about them, whatever they are.”

She had such a genuine smile and her face really was fucking gorgeous, Dark couldn’t help thinking. Not to mention her curvy little body with her big breasts and full hips. Gods, it made his cock hard just looking at her!

He shifted in his chair, trying to make more room for his cock in his trousers. This had never been a problem for him back when they lived on their home world, but even though it was uncomfortable, he still found that he liked the sensation of getting aroused and his shaft getting hard.

“Right now I’m having a positive emotion, just looking at you,” he told her honestly. “Your face is very fucking pleasing to look at—did you know that?”

Her smile widened and she let out a bubbly little laugh.

“Well, not in exactly that way, but thank you—I appreciate the compliment. You two are pretty easy on the eyes yourselves,” she added.

“Easy on the eyes?” Dark frowned. “Does that mean that it hurts you to look at some people? Or that it’s hard to see them?”

“I think she’s just returning your compliment—saying that we’re nice to look at,” Light said, smiling.

“Exactly!” Lili said. “The two of you remind me of Greek statues—the way you’re so muscular and your features are so chiseled.”

“What kind of statues?” Dark frowned.

“I mean you’re classically handsome,” she explained. “And I would know—I have a PhD in Xeno-Art History, so I study beautiful art all day.”

“You think we look like ‘beautiful art?’” Dark asked doubtfully.

“Well…your brother does,” Lili said, nodding at Light. “You’re a little more rugged, yourself.” She leaned in to study his face. “You have a very strong jaw under that beard, I bet.”

“I don’t know—I guess I never thought about it,” Dark admitted. Putting his unenhanced hand to his face he felt his jaw and frowned.

“I’d really love to sketch the two of you,” Lili told them.

“Sketch us?” Light asked.

“Draw your picture,” she clarified. “I mean, I’m not good enough to do it professionally—that’s why I chose a degree in Art History instead of just Art. But I do love to draw and paint—you two would make such interesting subjects—a portrait of masculine beauty—you know?”

“I don’t think either of us ever thought about anything or anyone being beautiful or pleasing to look at before.” Light sounded thoughtful. “Appreciating beauty isn’t something that’s really possible when you have no emotions—at least, not on a visceral level.”

“Well, now that you both can have feelings, you ought to let me take you on a tour of a museum,” Lili said excitedly. “I’d love to show you some of the beautiful art that I write about and teach about.”

“We would love to go with you and see beautiful art,” Light said, smiling.
