My legs shake madly as I slide forward and get to my feet.
Toshi pulls me in close, steadying me when my knees fold.
“Hey,” he murmurs. “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine,” I tell him, smiling. “Better than fine. This is just what happens when I come a bunch of times in a row, apparently. My legs turn into Jello.”
He smiles back at me. “Maybe we should see what happens when I make you come a bunch more times.”
“Let’s see what happens when I make you come first,” I suggest, eager to find out how he likes to be touched. Echo and Spencer probably have me beat on technique, but I’m a fast learner.
I feel a little steadier as I move around him and close the door.
“The live show is over,” I tell him, knowing he proved his point.
“I forgot about the door,” he admits. “We can lock it if you want.”
I shake my head. “We don’t have to do that.”
It feels strange to say. I’m not used to feeling safe.
I wait a second, expecting the stab of fear to hit.
It doesn’t. I don’t have to lock the door.
I trust my mates.
They’ve kept me safe up until now, and I know they’ll always do whatever they can to make sure I’m well protected. It no longer feels like I’m in panic mode, waiting for something terrible to happen.
I’m relaxed. I’m happy. I can have a little fun without worrying about what might happen after.
I lean against the door at look at my naked mate.
“Lie down on the bed. Get comfortable.”
He smiles at me before he does what I ask.
I smile back as I approach the bed, ready to find out what I like and what feels good.
Chapter Eighty-Six
Spencer
The main part of the office is dark, but I can hear E.A. in his office. I knew he’d be down here. I think about my promise to Echo as I head toward the closed door, the glass panels showing he has a lamp on inside the room.
At least he’s not sitting in the dark, I guess.
I turn the handle and push the door inward.
He looks up from his desk, where he’s putting something into a manila envelope.
“We should talk,” I start.
He nods. “We should.”
“Are you busy now?”
“I need to go out soon, but I have time to talk.”
