If we deal with this together, it can’t hurt us anymore.

Spencer wraps his arms around me from behind.

“You’re right. I’m sorry, Leanne. Fucking hell, I’m sorry, E.A.”

“I’m sorry I caused all of this,” E.A. mumbles.

“You didn’t,” Spencer tells him. “Your father did. Harlan did. They’re the ones who deserve to pay for something. None of us have done anything wrong here.”

I wipe at my tears, and I hear the door to the other room creaking open.

Echo steps out, Toshi right behind him.

“Is this a private cuddle party, or can anyone join in?” Echo asks, raising an eyebrow.

He looks a little different, which I figure out is because he’s not wearing eyeliner.

“There’s no such thing as a private cuddle party,” Toshi scoffs, moving closer and adding to the group hug on my right side. His hair is sticking up like crazy, and it seems more like bedhead than an actual style.

Oh, God. They’ve all been so worried.

Everyone must have rushed out of bed to find out where I’d gone.

Echo joins the hug from the other side, making sure to slip under Spencer and E.A.’s arms.

I pull myself together in their embrace, finding strength in their arms and knowing this is only the start of our lives as a pack.

These are my mates, and I feel like I can tackle anything when I’m with them.

“Okay,” I tell them. “I might need to breathe now.”

“Damn,” Echo sighs and the hug breaks up.

“There’ll be time for touching later,” Spencer tells him. “Right now, we have a trafficker to deal with.”

I nod, passing my purse to E.A. “The jars are in there, and he had a file on me. Nothing in it but pictures, but he knows I’m with you.”

“Shit,” E.A. mutters. “I don’t remember spotting any photographers lurking around, or anyone suspicious in general.”

“Me either,” I admit. “That freaked me out a little bit.”

We all head through to the main office, and E.A. puts my purse down on the desk.

E.A. opens it and looks at Toshi. “Grab the box of surgical gloves from my bottom desk drawer.”

Toshi nods and darts into his office.

“Wow,” Echo murmurs, moving around to the other side of the desk. “Two jars.”

“I think there could have been more,” I admit. “Everything happened a little fast. I know where to look in his office so I could describe it to the cops if we go to them.”

“He’s been doing this for a long time,” Spencer admits. “It would make sense if there were multiple jars.”

Toshi brings the gloves through and E.A. puts a pair on.

He takes the first jar out and nods at Echo. “Put the desk lamp on.”

Echo turns it on, and E.A. turns the jar around under the light.
