Raven
An unknown object thrusts into my nose, jolting me from sleep. My hand instinctively swats in front of my face, defending me from whatever vile creature dares to disturb me. It’s a struggle to blink my eyes open, not wanting to leave the comfortable bliss of sleep.
Immediate anger isn’t something I’m used to experiencing when waking. Especially not since I’ve grown used to sleeping with one of my men every night. Depending on who it is, they sometimes even greet me between my legs.

When my vision comes into focus, I find Cole’s face way too close to my own. In his hand is a white feather, the kind you pull from a pillow when the end pokes you in the face. “Oh good, you’re up,” he says way too cheerily.

“Luv, don’t be like that,” he coos, using his fake British accent. Probably thinking he can sway me with it.
“No,” I grumble, rolling over and nuzzling in the space between the bed and Grayson. He tugs me into him and rubs his cheek on the top of my head.
Cole’s hand lands on my shoulder and he tugs on me, trying to get me to roll over again. “I need to tell you something.” He lifts the blanket and scootches under them until he’s spooning me.
“I swear to fuck, Cole. If you don’t chill out, I’ll find a knife for her to stab you with,” Grayson threatens, and I can only sigh. Here we go with thinking it’s a sign of love.
Cole’s arm moves around Grayson too, pulling us into a tight ball. “I love you too, man. Platonically, of course.”

I roll my eyes and huff. There’s no way I’ll get back to sleep until I give Cole what he wants. “Fine. Tell me.”
“Turn over. I want to see your pretty face when I tell you,” he says, laying it on damn thick if you ask me.
“What’s something I could do that shows I don’t love you?” I ask, drawing a complete blank.
“Impossible. You’ll love me until the day you die.” Cole dips his head and nudges it back and forth until he can place a sloppy kiss on my cheek.
“Ew. You’re fucking incorrigible.” I sear him with a death glare. “What has you all giddy and annoying?”
He smiles at me like a disobedient puppy that finally has its owner’s attention. I’m such a damn sucker for falling for him.
His hands find either side of my face and this time when he plants a kiss on me, it’s not full of slobber, cluing me in that he does it on purpose to irritate me. Meaning he’s not actually out of his mind insane.
The realization has me whipping around, shoving him to the other side of the bed. He doesn’t get rewarded for being an idiot. I narrow my eyes and point my finger at him. “You’re in time out. No touching me.”
A fake frown draws the corners of his lips down, but his eyes still shine with merriment. “Does that mean I can instruct someone else on what to do? I did have plans of sucking your clit ’til you screamed as a thank you.”
“Only if you find someone willing to defy me,” I snap back, secretly enjoying our banter. “Thank me for what?”
I watch as his teeth sink into his bottom lip, baiting me to come and replace it with my own. Damn asshole. “That’s what I came to tell you. Guess what?”
“Ugh,” Grayson grunts. He’s propped his head on his hand behind me, his other resting on my hip, the warmth of it sinking into my skin. “Just say it. She won’t play your games right now.”
Twisting my neck, I look over my shoulder and give him a smile. My hero. I knew I loved him for a reason.
“Fine,” Cole huffs out in disappointment. “Our night of fun got me out of my head and I was finally able to crack open the security system.”
