Considering how the first couple of days of our honeymoon went, it’s surprising how relaxing and calm the last few actually were. Once Kaia and I were able to unwind and spend some time together, just being alone and enjoying ourselves by the pool, celebrating everything we had to celebrate, and also spending much needed quality time with her family. It ended up being the nicest fucking getaway I could have asked for.

Exactly what the recharge button needed.

But it’s great to be coming home, and as much as it was nice to spend alone time with my wife, I have missed my daughter. She might be going through those terrible-two stages, but even with her tantrums and tears, I still love the crap out of her and her adorable little face. I can’t wait to see Immy, and I know Kaia is chomping at the bit to see her too.

As we walk through the clubhouse doors, I carry the luggage, and Kaia brings all the souvenirs and gifts we bought for everyone.

Lani spots us first. She screams in excitement and starts running for us. Kaia’s little sister was so worried when we called her the night after Park attacked Kaia. But she knew Kaia needed to spend the rest of the vacation relaxing even though all she wanted to do was to come and make sure her sister was doing okay.

Lani slams into Kaia as my twin, Bayou, steps up to me with a smile. “Glad you’re home, brother. You look like you’ve finally gotten a tan on that pale skin of yours.”

I scowl. “Fuck off,” I grumble as Raid, City, Grit, Hoodoo, Boulder, and Hunter come over to greet me.

“Hey, Pres, how was Hawaii?” City, my VP asks.

Shaking my head, I grin at Kaia. “It was eventful, that’s for damn sure. Met up with Oahu Defiance, took down their rivals, found out we’re havin’ twins. You know… the usual.”

Everyone widens their eyes as they unpack what I have just dumped in their laps.

Lani gasps, her hand slapping to her mouth.

Bayou weakly smiles. I know this is a hard subject for him, so I grip his shoulder, but he simply pulls me to him in a tight embrace. “I am so fucking happy for you both. I know Novah will be too.”

Lani races in, embracing Kaia again. “This is the best news you could have come home with. I get to be an aunty again!”

“Anythin’ happen while I was away?” I ask City.

Everyone laughs like there’s some inside joke.

Raid clicks something on his watch. “Two minutes and twenty-five seconds,” he states.

Everyone grunts out of frustration except for Hoodoo, who cheers in celebration, throwing his arm up.

I scowl in curiosity. “Wanna tell me what the fuck that was about?”

“We had a bet going on how long it would take you to ask what happened while you were gone,” Hoodoo informs me.

Then Frankie tilts her head. “The other bet was if you would get into trouble while you were over there. Since we already knew the answer to that one when Kaia called Lani, Bayou won that bet.”

Kaia chuckles to herself beside me, and I shake my head. “I’m your president. You should have a little more fuckin’ respect.”

They all smirk. “I think it shows how well we all know you. That we’re a tight-knit group. It’s bonding if anything, Pres,” Lani offers with a cheeky grin, and I narrow my eyes on her.

She’s a weak link in the chain, and everyone knows it. She might be my sister-in-law, but she feels like blood to me.

I can never get angry at her.

“Fine… have your fun. I’m in too good of a mood to get pissed at you anyway.”

They all burst out laughing, throwing their hands in the air as Bayou nods, slapping his chest like he is the man.

I groan out in annoyance. “What the fuck now?”

“The last bet was that you would cave to Lani because you have a soft spot for her. Bayou is sweeping the stakes with the wins. It’s kind of unfair being your twin and all,” City grumbles.

“Rigged!” Hoodoo chuckles.

“Oh, for fuck’s sake!” I groan, shaking my head, though I can’t help but be slightly amused at their bantering.
