"Yes!" I know because he tells me all the time. I know because he makes me feel beautiful. Even when I'm wrecked, with sweat plastering hair to my head and tears leaking down my face. No matter how hard he takes me or what filthy things come out of his mouth when he does it, they're always filled with reverence. As if, even in the throes of ecstasy, he can't help but love me harder.

I'm five months pregnant with our first baby. I'm finally showing. I love watching my belly grow. So does Colter. He can't keep his hands off it. We're so excited to meet our baby boy.
"He's perfect," I murmur, turning in his arms to snuggle up against my husband's chest. I place my hand against the side of his face, scrutinizing his expression. "How's his daddy? That's the real question."
He punched a fan in the face. I'm not sure what happened, but I know him well enough to know that whatever it was, the guy deserved it.
"Daddy's good, Trouble," he promises, his eyes light. "The fucker tried to grab Gabbi's ass when she was walking by. I figured if I didn't hit him, Atlas would kill him."
"Jeez," I mutter, my nose wrinkled in disgust. "Some men really suck."
"Yeah, they do. He won't be stepping foot through the doors ever again. Once Jordan hears what happened, he's going to lose his shit."
"I'm proud of you."
"For punching someone?" He smirks at me, amused.
"No." I nudge his foot with mine, rolling my eyes at him. "For always being the kind of man who does what's right, even when it means you suffer the consequences. I admire that, you know. A lot of guys would have just let Atlas handle it."
Atlas is a freaking giant, but after what happened, the whole team is kind of protective of him. He's still recovering. And he may not play any longer, but he'll always be one of them. I admire Colter for jumping in to handle business to ensure Atlas wasn't put at risk. The AHL may not agree, but rules don't see shades of gray.
"Fuck," he murmurs, leaning down to nibble on my lips. "You get sweeter every day, you know that?"
"No, I don't. You're imagining things."
"Mmhmm. Keep telling yourself that, Trouble. But we both know you're softening up."
I bite my lip to hide a smile. "Am not, Bossy. You're just getting used to the fact that I'm in charge around here."
"Yeah?"
"Yep."
He tugs me closer, his lips lingering over mine. "Then I guess it's a good thing I'd follow you anywhere, isn't it, pretty baby?"
"Yeah," I breathe, pressing my lips to his as my heart flutters. I'd follow him anywhere, too, anywhere at all.
