There’s nothing around me that isn’t totally encompassed by Reese Dalton.

“Yes, yes,” I pant out. My insides tighten hard around his cock and I can feel him pulse inside me.

“Come,” he snarls, shoving his hand into my shorts to stroke my clit. “Come with me, princess. Fall to fucking pieces like I am.”

It’s equal parts plea and order. I give in with such an abandon that I drag him over the edge as we cry out together. My release floods around him as he floods inside me, creating a mess of our pleasure and love for each other.

“Don’t think we’re done here, Olivia,” he growls in my throat. His cock is still pumping in and out of me, forcing that pleasure to course through me nonstop. “It’s been too damn long. I’m not stopping until you can’t walk out of this room on your own.”

I wind my fingers through the roots of his hair and say the last full sentence I’ll speak for the next few hours.

“Don’t threaten me with a good time.”

REESE

I’m on Cloud fucking Nine.

No one can touch me.

Olivia is mine again. One hundred percent mine. Yesterday proved that and, as hard as it’s been getting back to this place, it’s been worth every single irritation and setback. It feels right—especially after getting the green light from the Bulls medical staff to be able to play again.

Things are looking up.

When I slip out of bed, Olivia is still in it. Her brown hair spills over the pillows in a bird’s nest mess that is charming as hell. Any man that says a woman in her natural morning state ain’t hot has never had the pleasure of waking up to a woman after a night of bliss.

Their loss.

But not mine.

I grab a pen and paper from the penthouse office and scribble down that I’m going out to grab us a breakfast and some good coffee. It’s not a complete lie—I’ll be bringing back food.

But I’ll also be bringing something else back, too.

Ever since that little outing at Grams’ I’ve only had one thing on my mind: giving Olivia a real proposal.

If I’m serious, I can’t do any of this “eventually, in the future, at the right time” shit anymore. I need to man up and put a ring on her finger. I need to make sure the whole world knows exactly who my wife is. I need to be able to give my baby boy my last name and know that it’s been given legit.

I rip through a quick shower, get dressed, and step outside.

“Sir? You need a tail?”

I shake my head at Samson’s question, even though I’m already fast down the hall. “Nah, doing something a little private. I’ll be back quick. Just don’t let Olivia leave, okay?”

Whether he answers, I don’t know. I’m already in the elevator and on my way out.

There’s a jewelry store not far from the penthouse. Girls in the past would always want me to take them there so they could pick out gifts. I never gave in because it felt too obligatory, too fake, too bullshit.

There’s nothing obligatory about being with Olivia. I choose her every single time.

I walk in just a minute after opening. A man straight out of Central Casting for the Addams Family butler greets me, with a woman at his side in a red pantsuit and perfectly coiffed Dallas curls.

“Good morning,” he greets. “Can we help you?”

“I’m looking for an engagement ring. Something classy but really elegant. Something for a woman worth the world.”

The woman chuckles. She’s probably heard the line a hundred times but unlike a lot of the dudes that roll in trying to make a woman theirs, I actually believe it.
