Nina says, “How do you guys know each… Wow. Wow.” She knows about the crazy one-night stand on the way.

“But what—” I begin. Nina steps in front of me, grabs my arm, and says, “Savage, if you can go ahead and get started. Mira and I are going to finish breakfast.” I’m too shocked to protest as she pulls me along back toward the table and sits me down. She dishes out some eggs and says, “Well, guess we’re going to have the outlaw biker conversation now.”

“Outlaw biker?”

“Come on, Mira,” she says, “Did you think he was squeaky clean?”

“But he seems nice.”

“He is nice,” Nina says with a smile, “but that’s not the same as being law-abiding. As much as people seem to think those things are related, it’s just not the same thing at all.”

All of the arousal is back and it’s back in force. It’s overpowering, actually. There’s more, too, though. All of the feelings about my life-changing for the better are back, too, except now they’re wrapped up in feelings for Jacob. Don’t get me wrong. I realize it’s a trick my mind is playing on me. It’s a nice trick, though.

“The Midnight Avengers are headquartered here in Pinecrest Peak,” she says, “but they don’t handle any of their business here.”

“Damn it,” I groan. “He was wearing a vest with that. Midnight Avengers. I should have told you that. Then, we wouldn’t have been so shocked.”

She laughs. “You’re the only one so shocked right now.”

“Who are the Savages?”

“The Savages? I don’t know that club.”

“But you said the Savages were here to do your yard.”

She laughs. “Okay. Savage. That’s Jacob’s biker name.”

“Oh,” I say, and I swear if you just judge by the arousal in my voice, you might think her words were the same thing as having a vibrator up against my pussy. I can’t help how it feels, though.

“You need to understand they’re criminals, though,” she says.

“Wait… are you trying to warn me off?”

She scoffs. “Honey, you do know my grandfather is the president of the club, right? I mean, you do understand that?”

I just stare at her in shock. She ends up laughing like crazy and I guess I end up laughing, too. Soon we’re eating and talking and I’m getting a better picture of things. Nothing in what she says deters me from wanting to see if there are possibilities for something real and long-term with Jacob. I guess, if anything, I just want it more.

When we’re finally done, she says, “So make whatever decision you want to make, Mira, but don’t lose sight of the situation.”

I promise to keep that in mind. I’m really encouraged because the club isn’t involved in drugs at all. I can pretty much handle whatever other crime is involved, I think. Of course, Nina says I’ll likely never hear or see anything that has to do with that side of their operation. They keep all of that outside of town and most of it is dealing with criminals in some of the surrounding cities. In any case, I promise not to lose sight of the situation.

And I don’t.

I mean, I guess maybe you can say I don’t keep my eyes too focused on it but I don’t lose sight of it.

I do get to go out with Jacob that night. You may think I’m silly when I tell you that there’s something really amazing about giving him a blowjob. I mean, the guy screwed me to within an inch of my life and went down on me. It’s kind of crazy to think that he’s just getting this from me now, if that makes any sense.

And he gets a lot of blowjobs as the day passes.

And I can tell you that I think by now, I’m always recovering from being screwed to within an inch of my life.

A millimeter of my life, maybe.

Chapter Five

It can’t be this simple.

It just can’t.
