“Yeah, I think we might need to have a talk about that.”

She lowers her brows. “What do you mean?”

“I think instead of moving back to your house, you guys should move all the way in here.”

Her lips part with surprise. “We can’t.”

“Says who?”

She considers. “Me, I guess. We haven’t even been together that long.”

I step back, taking one of her hands and setting it on my heart. “I know we haven’t, but I know this is real. You guys already feel like my family.”

Tears form in her eyes. “I just...I love you so much, but I don’t want you to end up feeling trapped. Like you dove in too soon. It’s not just me and my kids. It’s Cam and the boys, too. We’re a package deal.”

“I’ve known that from the beginning. And I’m all in.”

“Are you sure?”

I nod, cupping her cheek in my hand. “I’ve never been more sure of anything. It doesn’t get any better than this. Stay.”

“I should talk to Cam and the kids first, but...it’s a yes for me.”

A happy smile spreads across my face as I say, “Won’t be the last yes I get out of you tonight, babe.”

Chapter Twenty-Two

Tess

* * *

Dom’s a light snorer. It wakes me up sometimes, and this morning, when it woke me up at seven, I couldn’t go back to sleep.

Which is okay with me. It’s a Saturday morning, so I already slept in compared to weekdays. The morning sun coming in around the blinds in the bedroom gives me enough light to see him.

He has dark scruff, which has me fighting an urge to reach out and stroke my hand over it. I love the feel of it—especially on my thighs.

It’s also hard not to run my fingers over the ridges of his arms and shoulders. Though I have never been a woman who cares about men with muscles, I love his strength. He can pick me up and carry me easily, and he can wear the hell out of a T-shirt.

I’m always drawn to the man in him. Every time he looks at me, there’s a gleam of affection and desire in his eyes that makes me feel beautiful and desired. I hope he always looks at me that way.

When he’s asleep, it’s easy for me to see the little boy he used to be. His parents are coming to visit in a couple of weeks. I felt a thrill when I heard him on the phone with his mom the other day. He said he was in love for maybe the first time ever and that he was very serious about me.

As scary as it is, I feel the same way. Cam and the kids all love him and they were thrilled when I asked them if they wanted to move all the way into his house. Hannah told me over breakfast with the entire family in the kitchen a few days ago that it’s weird for Dom and I to be a couple and not share a bedroom, so I formally moved in here.

Nick left town after visiting for a few days and we’re back to our new normal, which still includes Benton on the nights Dom is gone.

“Morning,” Dom says, his voice gravelly. “You staring at me again, creep?”

“I can’t help it. You have a huge zit.”

His grin is lazy and sweet. “Bullshit. My skin is smooth and silky.”

“You were pretty amazing last night.”

We’re on our sides facing each other, and he moves the sheet down from my hip and traces his fingertip over my bare skin. “Are you talking about my two goals or your three orgasms?”

I smile as he slowly starts to push the fabric of my T-shirt—the only thing I’m wearing—up.
