“Occasionally - I date betas primarily. Dominic and Declan have each other to play with, so they don’t seek outsiders often. It only becomes serious when we all agree to court as a pack. Which we haven’t for about seven years.” I wasn’t listening to most of what he said, nearly spitting out my ice cream as my mind came to the realization of what he meant.

“Wait, you said the other two - play with each other? You mean - sexually?” My eyebrows shot up as Aiden nodded as if it was the most natural thing in the world.

“Of course. It’s not uncommon in packs. Although I only participate if we are helping an omega through heat. I don’t have that type of relationship with them, and I’d love to give my attention to an omega.” My mind spun. I needed to research more.

“If you’d like, I can introduce you to them tonight. My place isn’t too far from here, so we can swing by and you can formally be introduced. You can ask all the questions you want, and we won’t hold anything back. I want you to feel completely at ease. Of course, we could always pick another day. I don’t want you to feel uncomfortable.” I thought about it - Aiden was so attractive and our connection was magnetic. Maybe the other two wouldn’t be so bad.

“Alright, I’ll meet them before we go back to the Omega House.” We did have some extra time. Aiden grasped my hand in his.

“I’m glad to hear that. I’ll text them to make sure they are home.” He pulled out his phone and my stomach churned. It was one thing to hear about a pack, but meeting them? It would shatter the illusion I had created with Aiden as my one and only.

After we were done with the fair, Aiden drove me to his neighborhood. The homes were impressive, all of them large and several with three stories. It was a great location, still close to the main center of the city. As we pulled up to the massive brick manor, he got out to open the door for me. “Wait here, I’ll see if they are home. Feel free to explore the garden!” I looked around as he headed toward the door. His front courtyard was dreamy. Various flowers, trees, and grass made a beautiful pathway leading to a gazebo which was decked out in softly glowing fairy lights. I could imagine myself sitting out here, picking fruit from the trees while Aiden grilled. My phone pinged. It was Bella checking on me.

Bella:So how is it??

There was way too much to text, so I called her, double-checking that Aiden had already disappeared into the massive home.

“Ohmigod! Tell me all about it!” Bella squealed as she answered.

“Well, for one thing, I’m still technically on the date. And so far, it’s been amazing!” I threw my head back as I walked about the courtyard, wandering close to the front door to peek inside. “Aiden is incredible - delicious, a gentleman, and the hottest guy I’ve ever gone out with.” Bella giggled as I closed my eyes. “He’s perfect - except for the fact that he has a pack! I don’t want to deal with two other men!”

“Piper! Stop thinking that way! Alphas naturally form packs, they’re a great benefit for an omega! All these guys caring for you and doting on you, just give it a chance!” I sighed, using my free hand to rub my eyes.

“The thing is, the other two have a sexual relationship with each other. Like, would they even be into me? I can’t even imagine it. Ugh. I just want Aiden for myself, screw the other two.” Bella giggled.

“Well, you can certainly screw all of them, and you’ll probably never go back to just one guy! Trust me, Piper, we are made for it!” I bit my lip, trying to calm my nerves.

“I mean, I could always just try to date Aiden up until my heat passes and then explore other options. I really could care less about his pack.” I turned to look around for Aiden, only to jolt upright. A very large, very muscular, and very dangerous-looking guy was glaring at me from the entry to the patio, only a few steps away. How had he been able to creep up on me?

He was a veritable Greek god - all muscle, dark hair, and shocking green eyes. His perfect lips were amplified by a dark, close-cropped beard, and for a moment I thought I found the other most handsome man in the world - until I realized he looked very familiar. This was Aiden’s pack member! Oh God. Had he heard what I said? I hoped not - he was far enough away, but why was he glaring?

“Are they home yet? I don’t want to miss-” Just then, yet another devastatingly handsome guy turned around the corner, coming to an abrupt stop as he saw me. Clean-shaven, fit and lean, he was the perfect foil to the bad boy currently glaring at me. He cleared his throat. “Piper? Hi, I’m-”

“Declan!” I jumped up, clutching my phone. “Bella, I need to call you back later.” I hung up and slowly stepped forward. “I remember you - you came into my work.” His face lit up at my admission and all I could think at that moment was that he had the most beautiful smile I had ever seen. He came closer, almost levitating in excitement.

“Yes, I saw your photo and realized we had technically met before. It’s great to meet you under different circumstances.” He approached and reached out his hand. Dominic still hadn't moved from where he was. I stepped forward to take his hand, suddenly hit by Declan’s smell of warm clean cotton and comfort, way stronger than the scent patch from the binder at the Omega House. It was so unexpected. For some reason, his scent felt more like home than any place I had ever lived before. Even in this strange world, I suddenly belonged. Our hands touched and I looked up at him. How could I have ever doubted I would want Aiden’s pack just as much as I wanted him?

Dominic broke the trance, stepping over to Declan and reaching a hand out to the back of the beta’s neck. “Yes, Piper, and I’m Dominic. Part of the other two you’d have totolerate.” Then he leaned over and kissed Declan straight on the mouth. But this was more than just a kiss. It was a display of passion, ownership, and pride. His other hand cupped Declan’s cheek before letting it wander sensually down his chest. The sight of these two beautiful men showing such open lust for each other mesmerized me. I watched with fascination, not only at the objective beauty of the two of them but also imagining what else they did. How they touched each other, how they moved in bed, how it could involve me. I stepped back, shocked at my thoughts.

When Dominic pulled back, Declan looked slightly confused, but Dominic just gave me a smirk. Aiden came back out the front door. “Ah, there they are! Piper, I’d like to introduce you to the other two-thirds of Pack Archer.” His smile froze as he walked through the doorway. “Is everything alright?” He stepped forward, his eyes moving between me and the rest of his pack.

“Everything’s great, I was waiting for the chance to finally get to meet you, well, outside of a work setting. You’ll have to excuse Dominic, we’re obviouslyveryclose pack members, and he can be expressive.” Declan looked at me and reached up to rub the back of his neck. Was he - was he shy around me? This guy who looked like a star athlete?

“Yes, everything’s great. Fortunately for us, I know all I need to know about her.” Dominic’s voice cut through the air like a knife. A crease formed on Aiden’s brow as he approached.

“Dominic, what’s going on?” Aiden stood close to my side, facing his pack member. Dominic’s eyes never left mine, and I felt the tension rising. “I brought Piper here because she agreed to be introduced to the pack before I take her back home. She’s a bit new to it all. I thought it might be good for her to formally meet you both.” Dominic’s hand never left Declan’s body. He was holding him in an almost possessive manner.

“Well, here we are princess.” Dominic’s words were laced with power. He was being sarcastic. I knew he must have heard some of my phone conversation and I felt shame begin to warm my skin. Dominic’s arm went around Declan’s waist as he continued to physically demonstrate how close they were in front of me. Declan looked between Dominic and me, his confusion palpable.

“I hope we can spend some time together soon and get to know each other better. We have a great pack, although I can be a bit biased.” Declan’s words were soothing, and he gave me a playful wink. I blushed and sensed Aiden easing up a bit. He turned to face me.

“So, now that you’ve met the rest of the pack, I’ll have to get you back to the Omega House before it gets too late. Wouldn’t want them worrying about you. I can give you the grand tour another night.” Aiden’s warm words made me feel some relief. At least two of the three pack members seemed to like me. Declan moved toward the open kitchen behind them. “Let me get you two some waters to go!” Aiden started for the car, but before I followed him I turned and faced Dominic. I took a few steps toward him, my heart racing as I looked up at his blazing green eyes. I noticed that he even had long, dark eyelashes framing his eyes. Why were these men so genetically blessed?

Clearing my throat, I spoke to him in an effort to save the evening. “It’s great to finally meet you, Dominic. I’ve heard a lot about you.” He stared at me, his arms crossed as he leaned against the door frame. I lowered my voice, leaning in. “I know I may not have made the best first impression, but I promise, I want to fix it. I want to get to know you, all of you.” He smirked and looked down at me as though I was a cockroach. His voice was as low as mine when he answered.

“I highly doubt that, princess. You don’t need to force yourself to‘deal with’ a pack.” I reeled back at his words. But then as he closed in on me, mere inches from my face, his scent hit me. It was strong, emanating from his scent glands in waves. Angry leather, cocoa, and spice. It was both a warning and as irresistible as a siren’s call. I could smell him for hours, stare into his eyes and never say a word. I wanted to crawl into his arms and belong to him, listen to him, and never leave. I was intoxicated. And it was making my nipples hard and my stomach clench. My mind was struck to the point where I forgot what I was going to say. I almost didn’t notice Aiden approaching me from behind.

“What’s all this?”
