I woke to a calm feeling that I hadn’t experienced in ages. Like I knew everything was going to be okay. I stretched out, suddenly remembering where I was - in a home with the pack that technically kidnapped me. Though, to be fair, it was turning out to be a much better adventure than I had anticipated. They were treating me like a queen, which was something I hadn’t experienced to this extent before, even when it turned out that I wasn’t the right omega. For some reason, the absurdity of it all made me laugh as I finished stretching. Everything from the past few days had been so strange - the rush of excitement at the ball, the wine spilling all over me, waking up and smelling the most delicious alphas I’d ever encountered. Maybe that’s why I felt so satisfied right now - their house was the perfect blend of all their scents. I breathed them in and thought about what would come next.

Even if they did take me from the castle, I’d never felt more comfortable around anyone. Initially, I had been distraught when I realized no one even knew I was missing. I realized I was just that unimportant to people, even when I was a guest omega at the Darlington Ball. I had spent a few hours crying over it before realizing it also gave me a type of freedom. If no one cared I was gone, then I could do what I wanted. And I wanted the big, delicious smelling alpha who cared for me to help me through my heat, along with the gentle, sexy beta and the mysteriously hot techy alpha. I’d also love if the serious-looking, suit-wearing alpha who I smacked would also join, but I wasn’t going to complain either way. The majority of the pack agreed to help me out, and they were the hottest pack I’d ever been around. I was even more surprised when they brought me to their massive house - it was extravagant, just like the big house that the Deloney Pack had in my old town. But this was different. This pack invited me in and gave me heaps of gifts. And they hadn’t even known me for that long! I figured if they got me through my upcoming heat, I would be good for another three or four months until I needed another pack. And in that time I’d figure out how to go back to Haven, or if I even wanted to. Maybe I’d explore a bit or move towns again. But when I thought about the future, it was hard to imagine any scenario without the members of this mysterious pack in it. Somehow, I felt like I’d known them forever. It was so easy to be around them, unlike anyone I’d ever courted. In the past, I had to always try so hard, put on a front, act as perfectly as possible while hoping and praying they’d see my value. With this pack, I didn’t feel I needed to try at all. They seemed so comfortable to assume the role of taking care of me, like I’d always imagined it would feel like when men adore you. It was refreshing, comforting, and relaxing to me in a way I’d never experienced.

Suddenly, the noise of pans clattering downstairs got me out of my thoughts. Someone was making breakfast downstairs and I should probably get up and wash. Also, eventually after my heat, I’d have to call my parents and let them know I was okay. And at this point I didn’t even trust that the Darlington Ball contacted the Omega House about my disappearance. I got up and padded down the stairs, still nervous to be poking around in someone else’s home, even though they had given me full access.

When I reached the kitchen I saw Cy - or rather, I saw Cy’s lean, muscular back, a canvas of beautiful skin covered in intricate tattoos, the tendons moving beneath giving it an animated appearance. I didn’t realize I was staring so much until he turned, giving me a dazzling, though slightly sheepish smile.

“Good morning Bella. I was going to make you some breakfast, but unfortunately I’m not exactly an expert in the kitchen.” I was a little stunned - no alpha had ever tried to cook for me before. That was usually an omega’s specialty. I stepped forward, inching closer to him as I tried not to look too closely at his grey sweatpants and what was hiding beneath them.

“Maybe I can help. What kind of breakfast foods do you have?” He looked around, opening cupboards as if it was his first time looking through them. “Uh, not quite sure. I never take inventory of the groceries here.” I could tell he was lost, but this was my talent. I looked under his arm at what was in stock and spotted a few things we could use.

“Oh! We can make muffins!” I said excitedly, seeing the dried cranberries, cinnamon, and flour. I rushed over to the fridge and opened it to see a plethora of food, searching until I saw what I needed. “You have butter and eggs, good. Oh, even oranges! I could make a nice fall muffin batch if you have the pans for it.” I turned over to see Cy looking at me with a sweet gaze before he kneeled down to open a few cabinet doors.

“To be honest, I’m not sure what we have here. We don’t use the kitchen that often.” His frame was too large to get a good look inside the bottom cabinet, so I went over and crouched next to him.

“Ah, there it is. This is a muffin pan, see? These are the perfect size to put the batter in.” I went on hands and knees to reach into the cabinet and grab the proper pans, noting where the electric mixer was as well. I backed up to show Cy the pan, and my hand brushed his thigh where he crouched to look with me. I froze - his leg was hard muscle, and I had the peculiar desire to touch it again. In fact, all of my body was starting to feel drawn toward him. I looked up to see his own light green eyes staring straight into my soul. How could I be this attracted to someone I barely knew? I had to get my head on straight and stop thinking with my hormones. I cleared my throat, standing up as I gathered the pan. “C-could you grab the mixer and the bowl?” I asked, turning away to set the pan on the island and gather the ingredients. Cy did as I requested.

“What else do you need?” His voice was like comforting honey as I gathered the ingredients, measuring from memory. Each time I asked for an ingredient, he brought it over without complaint. I wasn’t used to it - most alphas I’d courted were not interested in helping with chores such as cooking. If they helped me with something, it was with a sigh or a stiff look of annoyance that they were being asked to help with an omega activity. Cy seemed not only unbothered, but downright fascinated as I went through the process of making the muffins.

“What are you doing now?” He was standing next to me, close enough that I could feel his body heat. I didn’t mind. I felt safe and excited with him there watching me.

“I’m going to squeeze the oranges and gather the juice, then add it to the batter. It will give the muffins a delicious flavor!” When I worked through one step, he’d try to assist by copying my movements, cutting and squeezing an orange as I added the juice into the batter. As excited as I was to be baking again and satisfying my omega instincts, he was quite the distraction. My mind was wandering as I poured the batter into the pan, thinking about what his large hands would feel like on my skin, if he’d lift me up and put me on the counter, lick the bits of batter off of me as he made his way down my body…. Suddenly I realized I was perfuming heavily. “Oh!” I backed up, looking up at Cy. His eyes were hungry, but he remained where he was standing.

“It’s alright, omega. You’re safe here. Every member of our pack has incredible self control and we won’t do anything to you, unless you request it.” Unless I request it.

“Um, I’ll just put this pan in the oven for now. It needs to bake for a while, then I’ll go shower.” Cy grinned at me.

“No need, unless it’s bothering you.” I considered running back to the room to wash off, but the longer I was with him, the less I felt embarrassed by it. He was true to his word. We were alone in the kitchen and he hadn’t made a move toward me. I kind of wanted him to make a move.

“Okay. It’s just that I didn't put any descenter on yet.” Cy nodded.

“I personally love your perfume. Would you like to see something cool while the muffins bake?” That piqued my interest.

“Yes! What is it?” I wondered what he had in store for me as he motioned for me to follow him down the hall. He opened the door to a room with two large desks and several monitors, lit up in the back with soft led lighting that changed colors gradually. “What is this place?” I walked in and looked around. He sat down at the desk and started typing.

“It’s my office setup. Here, look.” I leaned in to see what he was doing on the screen. “I know you mentioned you like the Masked Designation, and you probably missed out on the weekly reveal.” He was right - I had been so caught up in the Darlington Ball and being kidnapped that I didn’t realize who this week’s reveal was. “Well, I can look it up for you. But I can do more than that. Do you want to know the designation of every masked character?” I looked over at him.

“What do you mean? There’s no way to know until they announce it!” He looked at me mischievously.

“There is a way, if I hack into the show’s database. I can let you know the name and designation of each player, if you want.” My jaw dropped open.

“How?”

“I’m a hacker. I can get into some of the most secure servers, but don’t tell anyone.” He winked at me, and I blushed. He continued typing, his screen a blur of numbers and code as he went back and forth between two screens.

“Can you tell me who the elephant is? That’s the one character that I can’t figure out.” Everyone wanted to know who the elephant was. With their height and disguised voice, they could be any designation. Cy nodded and kept typing, his screens still a mystery to me.

“Alright, here’s a secure list of all the cast behind the Masked Designation. Are you sure you want to know what the elephant character is?” I nodded, bouncing on my tiptoes. That had been the subject of all kinds of speculation on my gossip sites. Cy turned to me in his chair and leaned in. “The elephant is an omega.” he whispered, and my mouth dropped open in shock.

“An omega? How?” Cy turned back to this screen, his eyes assessing the data he found.

“A male omega, actually.” I could see that whoever was behind the mask was tall enough to be a male omega, but I’d never have guessed.

“You know, you could make bets on that and make a lot of money.” I said, while looking over his shoulder. He turned back to me with a grin.

“How do you think we can afford all this nice equipment?” I was even more shocked.

“Really? That’s how you make money?” He shrugged.
