“I’m a big girl, I’ll cope. But thank you.”

Tor sat up and hugged his knees. “The rain has stopped, there’s moonlight. If you go and wash now in the pool, it might, you know… get rid of some…”

He could see her shadow moving as she grabbed the towel.

“Yes, I—I think that’s a good idea.” And with that, she headed toward the cave entrance.

“Here, take my watch, it will throw extra light.”

“I might drop it. It looks way too precious.” She faltered.

“Doesn’t matter. Put it on a rock nearby, press both sides simultaneously. It has a sensor that will follow your movement.”

“Thanks.” She took it and sped out of the cave, the towel wrapped around her.

He got up slowly, put on his clothes, shame a bitter taste in his mouth.

He’d never let himself get carried away like that before. What the fuck was going on?

Was there some magic happening on this island?

Or magic between him and Shona? His heart stuttered.

She took your knot. Begged for it.

The memory of how she’d shattered around him as he swelled and pumped his hot orc seed into her made him groan.

That must mean something. Surely. He stood watching her beautiful moonlit butt cheeks descend into the water, sighed as she washed herself vigorously. She might have wanted it in the moment, but she certainly didn’t want her sweet little cunt full of his orc semen now, did she?

Tor winced and thumped his fist into the hard rock wall.

Now what was he going to do? There weren’t many times in his life he was lost for a solution. He wanted to tell her that it had got to him somewhere inside his heart, not just his dick. That he didn’t regret a moment of it.

But he sensed she was regretting it. Her short comments led him to think so. He’d have to work to make her feel okay about the whole thing, let her know he still wanted her to be his realtor. He snorted. Give him the worst board meeting he’d ever had over untangling this with Shona.

He racked his brains for an answer.

But faced with this dilemma, with a beautiful woman who happened to be working for him, his mind drew blanks.

He squinted up at the sky. The moon was high in the sky right now. Waning, he thought grimly. He guessed he had to work out how to get them out of here in the morning.

He tugged out his phone from his rucksack. Too bad for Merle, she was used to him calling her at all hours with plans and ideas. Besides, she often worked until the wee small hours.

“Hi Tor,” came her clipped tone.

“You’re awake. Where are you?”

“At the office.”

“You’re more of a workaholic than me. Merle, I need to know who organized for my private jet to land in Motham. Which airline company?”

“That would be Blade Air. Ethan Blade, a dragon. You’ve met him, he’s one of our investors.”

“Would he be able to get me off a small island and back to Motham at first light?”

“What are you doing on an island?”

“Long story.” Tor watched Shona slowly drying herself in the moonlight, in no hurry to get back to him it seemed.
