My hunger for Quinn grows as I watch her announce last call to the disappointed patrons. I lick my lips as she wipes down the tables and puts up the chairs. My feet get antsy as Quinn waves goodbye to her co-workers, denying multiple offers to drive her home.

Quinn knows something is waiting for her. She just doesn’t know when it will come. Or what it’ll be. Just that I’ll be the one doing it.

She scans the area around the bar before she sets off. Her eyes go right past me. Perfect. My place in the shadows has gone unnoticed.

I climb up a fire escape of a nearby building and hop up onto the roof. Leaping from rooftop to rooftop, I stalk Quinn on her walk home. This takes me back to the first night we ever met. She looks just as beautiful, just as delicious.

I’ve decided I’m craving the taste of some adrenaline in her blood. It gives the taste a little kick that when mixed with orgasmic pleasure can be almost intoxicating. As I leap to another roof, I grab a loose brick and hurl it into the night air.

The brick crashed onto the street, about twenty feet behind Quinn, with a loud crack. Quinn almost jumps out of her shoes. She looks around for me but finds nothing. She picks up her pace and hurries home.

I easily keep up with her. My hunger is almost too much to handle as she heads to her door. I must act fast.

Quinn is rummaging through her pockets trying to get her keys. But I’m too fast. I leap down to the street and sprint right to her.

I quickly pin her against the door. She gasps with delight as I press my body hard against her. I slip my hand into her pocket and pull out the keys.

“Looking for these?” I hover my fangs over her neck.

“Yes, I was…”

My free hand begins to explore her body, unwilling to wait any longer, as I slowly unlock the door. I squeeze her breast. Slap her ass. Rub her pussy over her jeans.

The door swings open and Quinn slowly steps in. She looks back at me with a smirk. I follow her in and instantly start kissing her neck.

“You know,” she says. “You’re getting sloppy. I saw you when I turned onto Monroe Street.”

“I guess I’ll just have to stalk you in a new way.” I carefully take off her shirt.

“Also, throwing that brick was overkill.”

“Maybe, but it still scared you, didn’t it?” I laugh.

“Oh.” She laughs. “Just bite me already.” I sink my fangs in as she moans with delight.

The next day, Ren and I are silently sitting at our desks in PEACE. Another slow day. Yet, I still find myself anxious. I came to a realization last night and I need a friend to run it by.

“Ren?” Since everything happened, Ren and I have been able to patch things up. Thankfully, there is no one else I’d ever want to discuss this with.

“Yeah, Caspian?” His face is inches away from his computer screen where I can only assume he’s playing some time-wasting card game.

“Can you talk?”

“Of course. Let me just…” Ren’s eyes stay glued to his computer screen. “Oh, no, I’ve already lost this hand… Okay, Caspian, what’s up?” He looks up at me.

“Well, you know Quinn and I moved in together recently…”

“Yeah, how’s that going?”

“Perfectly. It’s all that I hoped it’d be.”

“Good. I’m happy for you. I know before I was… I-I’m happy you found her. Don’t let her go.”

“That’s… actually what I wanted to talk with you about.”

“Oh? What do you mean?”

“I think I’m going to propose?”
