His neck rolled to the side, and a smirk appeared. “Anything?” I nodded and Gi pulled me close enough to kiss my forehead. “You’re supposed to hear the offer first, Eager Beaver.”

“I know you wouldn’t ask me to do anything too crazy.”

“You can’t be talking to me like that. Look at what you’re doing.”

His dick might’ve been the only part of him rested, but now he was springing to attention too.

“What do you need?”

“Work your Lo Diddy magic.” My forehead wrinkled. “He’s not right, and now ain’t the time for Mack to be in his feelings. Can you do that for me?”

“I can try.”

Gianni picked up on the apprehension in my tone and dipped his chin to look into my eyes. “You don’t sound too confident.”

“I’m not, but I’ll try.”

“I wouldn’t ask if it wasn’t important. I need you to do more than try Lo.” Gianni’s insistent tone forced me to swallow the lump in my throat and nod.

“Are you okay?”

He laughed. “Just couldn’t fuckin’ help yourself, huh?”

“Excuse me for worrying about you.”

“You’re going to worry yourself to death. Then I’ll be forced to remarry. Is that what you want?”

“Whatever,” I sighed, sitting upright, and yanking the comforter. “You’d lose your mind if I stopped worrying about you.”

I grabbed my phone off the nightstand and texted Mack that I needed him. I was prepared to cry on cue if he tried to shoot me down. It was apparent Mack was going through something. I wanted to give him space to figure it out on his own because we were a lot alike in that way. Gi was worried which meant I needed to be too.

“Have you met Solana’s boyfriend?”

“No,” I replied, peering back at him. “Why?”

“Solana likes to pretend she’s grown, but she’s not. She’s naïve to a lot of shit. That’s all of our fault but I don’t need her getting hurt or worse.”

“She’s not as naïve as you think,” I reasoned, but it only made Gianni more suspicious.

“Why are you dodging my question?”

“You’re stressed and cranky. Don’t pick a fight with me because of it.” I said, walking into the bathroom.

As an only child, I always wanted a big family. Now I had one, and it was never a dull fuckin’ moment around here. I sent Solana a quick text threatening to tell Gianni everything if she didn’t attend today's meeting.

I felt bad for Solana but couldn’t keep jeopardizing my home to help save hers. If she wanted to be with Quest, she would have to be a big girl and stand up for what she wanted.

Gianni joined me in the shower.

“Don’t come in here if you’re picking a fight,” I warned.

“You’re keeping secrets and fussing at me.” I parted my lips to explain, but Gi didn’t give me a chance. He slipped his tongue in my mouth before pulling back. “You don’t think I know when you’re lying to me? You’re my wife Hailo. I know everything about you.”

“Gianni, I?—,”

“Just handle Mack,” he insisted, lifting me into his arms resting my back against the shower wall. “Then tell Solana she has until tonight to tell me what the fuck is going on with her and Quest, or shit is going to end badly for them both.” My eyes ballooned at the mention of Quest’s name. Thankfully he lowered me on his dick at the same time to camouflage my reaction. “But first, I need you to take care of me.”

“Gi!” I sang like a soprano, recording a high note.
