I knew she wasn’t a local, so there was never a chance for an awkward encounter down the road. I didn’t have to worry about her catching feelings and trying to tie me down. Hell, it even gave me the excuse I thought I needed to ignore the fact that she is way too damn young for me.

None of that really matters, though.

Not when it feels perfect to have her laying here in my arms.

Not when I just had the hottest, most incredible sexual experience of my life.

Not when she makes me question everything I ever thought I wanted.

Leila is different.

I’ve never been the relationship type.

But for her, I think maybe I could be.

“That was…” Leila says, huffing out a quiet laugh. “I’ve never come that many times before.”

“You haven’t been with the right man,” I murmur, trailing my fingertips slowly up and down her spine.

“Obviously.”

Her sarcastic response makes me chuckle.

“I hope you’re not too worn out, because you’re gonna have even more before the night is over. I’m nowhere near done with you.”

“Promise?” she asks, pinning me with those bright blue eyes.

“Damn right, I do.” I press a kiss to her lips. “Let me get rid of this condom and grab another one.”

“Take your time. I’m not going anywhere.”

Oh, how I wish that were true.

CHAPTER FIVE

LEILA

A low, steady buzz filters into my head, waking me from the best sleep I’ve had in far too long. I smile sleepily, blowing out a contented sigh. I’m cocooned in a pleasant warmth with a firm body pressed against my bare back and a strong arm wrapped around my waist.

A girl could get used to waking up like this.

The buzzing starts again, cutting through my sleepy thoughts.

It takes me another few seconds to realize where the sound is coming from and when I try to slip away, Deacon’s arm tightens around my middle.

“Where are you sneaking off to?” he grumbles.

“My phone’s ringing.”

“Ignore it,” he says, pressing his lips against my shoulder.

“I can’t.” Even though I want to. I know who’s calling. There’s only one person it could be. “It’s probably my brother and he’ll keep calling if I don’t answer.”

Deacon groans, but he loosens his hold on me, allowing me to seek out my phone. By the time I find it on the floor underneath the edge of the bed, it’s no longer ringing.

“Damn it,” I mutter when I see that I’ve got three missed calls. All from Ryker.

“Missed it. So get back here,” he murmurs, snatching me by the waist.
