We separate in time to hear Mom leaving again.

Then Monroe slowly drags his tongue across my lower lip as he walks us out of the kitchen and back upstairs to my room. “I should spank you for not telling me the moment I walked in.”

I pout. “I was terrified you might be a hallucination. Then you were so busy with…you know…”

“With stuffing you full of Daddy’s cock? Saying hello the only way we will greet each other from now on?”

My blush makes him laugh. “I tried to tell you you didn’t need to leave all that…spend inside me.”

“Ah, sweetheart. If you think that’s going to stop me from worshipping that tight pretty little cunt, keeping it fully topped up, you’re seriously deluded.” With another deep kiss, he sets me down. “Are you sore, kitten?”

A little embarrassed, I drop my gaze. “A little.”

He slides a finger under my chin and tilts my head. “You don’t ever need to be embarrassed to tell me if you need a break. I know I was a little too enthusiastic.” He curses and pales a little. “Shit, the baby. Did I—Is there a?—?”

I stop him with my fingers on his lips. “It’s fine. I researched it when I found out I was pregnant. We won’t harm it with…you know…”

He laughs with relief. Then sends me a droll look. “Before the baby comes, you’ll learn to use those words that make you blush. You hear me?”

“Yes, Daddy.”

“How do you feel?”

My fingers rake through his long hair. “I’m fine now. I got pre-natal vitamins from the doctor. And the nausea passed pretty quickly.”

He drops his forehead to mine. “Damn, I missed so much. I’m sorry, baby,” he mutters. He groans, drags me in for a kiss, then reluctantly sets me away. “Get dressed, kitten.”

“Where are we going?”

His eyes gleam as they rush over me, pausing for a throbbing moment on my belly. “The tattoo wasn’t the only thing I got in your name, baby. And with our baby coming, we need to speed things up a little. Starting with picking a decorator for our new home.”

“You bought us a home?”

He nods. “Yes, sweet girl. And it’s just the start of everything I intend to give you.”

“I love you.”

“I love you too, baby girl. Now go get dressed.”

I dress in record time while he patiently sits at the bottom of my bed, his eyes never once leaving me. Once I slide on my flats I rush to where he’s sitting, looking a touch nervous.

“I’m ready,” I say almost unnecessarily.

He nods. Swallows.

Then reaches into his pocket and brings out a square velvet box. “We can go, my love, as soon as you let me put this ring on your finger.”

My delighted squeal echoes for miles.

EPILOGUE

Five Years Later

Monroe

I gun the throttle on my custom Ducati, wishing it would eat up the miles quicker. Anticipation burns through me as familiar signposts whizz past.

Almost home. Finally.
