“Aren’t we pastmy turfandtheir turf?” I asked.

Greyson raised his eyebrows. But before he could answer, Sebastian stirred beneath me.

“Morning,” his voice rumbled, muffled by sleep and warmth.

I turned my head towards him, and our eyes met—his dark blue ones held that soft look reserved for moments just like this. A playful smirk danced on his lips before he reached up, his hand cradling the back of my neck, drawing me down into his kiss. The coziness I felt was now laced with an electric charge, each kiss igniting sparks that flickered through my veins.

Sebastian’s kiss was different from Greyson’s, somehow both commanding and tender, as if he were savoring each sensation. His other arm wrapped around me, pulling me closer still, and I melted into the connection.

“Hey,” Greyson complained mildly, but the complaint was a promise, and his hand drifted over the curve of my side before settling possessively on my hip. He pressed another kiss to my bare shoulder.

Breakfast was the most important meal of the day, but suddenly, this seemed even more important.

Then the bedroom door swung open.

“Kennedy, come on!” Carter's voice broke through our little bubble of lust. “Breakfast is ready, and I swear if I don’t get back in there, Jack’s going to burn the bacon.”

I was torn from the kiss, a soft gasp escaping me as Carter decisively scooped me out of the tangle of limbs and sheets.

“Hey!” Greyson’s complaint sounded a lot more genuine now, and Sebastian made a swipe after him.

But Carter evaded them with the same speed and power that he had on the ice, accompanied with a chuckle. He cradled me in his arms as he carried me back toward the kitchen.

A few seconds later, I found myself perched on the cool marble of the kitchen counter as Carter rushed to take over the spatula from Jack. Jack shrugged and gave me a boyish, mischievous grin, and I grinned back, suddenly sure that Jack was taking advantage of Carter’s perspective on his culinary competence.

The rich aroma of coffee filled my senses as Jack approached, his blond hair golden in the morning light that streamed through the window. He offered me a steaming mug before leaning in to press a soft kiss on my cheek.

“Good morning, Kennedy,” he murmured, his hazel eyes gleaming with a blend of affection…and lust…since I was wearing nothing but a blanket at the moment.

Carter slid a plate in front of me, and the sight of fluffy, golden-brown pancakes drizzled with maple syrup made my mouth water. “Made these just for you.”

“And for me,” Jack said, mock offended.

I picked up the fork and took my first bite of soft, fluffy, perfect pancake. I hummed in appreciation, casting a glance at Carter, whose green eyes were fixed on me with a look that could only be described as adoration mixed with a dash of desire. “Delicious!”

Carter grinned goofily. He seemed to love to feed me, which worked out well, because I loved to be fed.

His lips found mine in a kiss that started sweetly but quickly deepened, igniting a fire that seemed to spread through my veins. The world narrowed down to the sensation of Carter’s mouth moving against mine, his hands roaming with a possessive tenderness that left me breathless and wanting more.

We broke apart breathlessly, our foreheads resting against each other as we shared a smile that carried all the unspoken promises of the moments yet to come.

“Okay, okay, let the girl eat her breakfast,” Jack protested, and I looked up to find he was already eating one of my pancakes. He turned that bright grin on me and fed me another forkful.

“We have a surprise for you after breakfast,” Jack added.

“What is it?” I demanded.

“A surprise,” Carter said firmly, leaning against the counter with his own plate of food. “Now eat!”

Greyson and Sebastian came in then, both of them grumbling, but apparently willing to forgive Carter once they had their own plates. The guys all stood around, though, no one bothered to move to the eat-in table or the dining room, as if they were in a rush.

I savored my pancakes anyway, curious as I was about the surprise.

As soon as I finished, the plate was whisked out of my hands. I was amused how quickly the guys cleared the dishes, practically tripping over each other to get out the door. I got dressed quickly in jeans and a hoodie, and they barely gave me time to brush my hair before they were urging me out to the parking garage.

Greyson took the lead, his broad shoulders cutting a commanding path to the car. The cool leather of the passenger seat welcomed me as I slipped inside, still mystified.

We drove in a comfortable quiet that allowed me to lose myself in thoughts of what lay ahead. We left the gritty city streets and drove into a cute, sunny suburb with lots of green space. We passed a wide bike path where couples were walking with jogging strollers or towing bike trailers with cute little toddlers inside. I grinned out the window, enjoying the sights as we passed a big public playground and then turned into a fancy development, full of sprawling homes on rolling green lawns.
