Trent Nichols, in a three-piece suit, is devilishly handsome.

But in a black leather jacket, he’s eye candy just begging to be licked.

“I believe you’ll say just about anything to press my buttons.”

“Is that so?” He chuckles menacingly.

“Yes. You’re the type of man who doesn’t like being defied, and therefore, you see me as a challenge. One that you want to nip in the bud.”

“A challenge,” he whispers softly before taking a step closer to me. “Do you think my ego is so fragile that I can’t suffer the insubordination of a woman? Even one as exquisite as you?”

“I think you like to have your ego stroked,” I counter accusingly.

“It’s not my ego that wants your attention, kitten.”

I should tell him not to call me that, but words fail me as he bridges the small gap between us until we are so close that we are basically breathing the same air.

“And though you can be challenging, I don’t see you as a challenge.”

“No?” I arch a brow.

“No.” He slowly shakes his head. “I just… see you.”

I’m not sure if it’s the look of want in his eyes or the lusty song playing in the background that has my lips inching closer to his.

“And what do you see when youseeme?” I ask, uncaring if my voice is filled with the unbridled lust that I’m being accosted by.

“You want my honest answer?”

“If honesty is within your wheelhouse of things you’re even capable of doing.”

The way he seductively licks his lips has my core clenching, imagining that same tongue eating me out.

“I see you on your knees, with that gorgeous mouth that loves to talk back to me, wrapped around my cock.”

My clit throbs at the image he planted in my head, making my thought process even more hazy with want and desire.

“Funny. I was just thinking about putting your mouth to good use, too.”

“And what’s stopping you?” he counters gruffly, pressing his chest against mine.

Although the electric pull between us is too damn obvious to pretend it’s not there, I do my best to act like it doesn’t affect me either way.

“I came for the concert. Not for a fuck,” I whisper seductively into his closed mouth before I purposely brush my lips on his. I then take a step back and return my attention to the stage, keeping my expression as blank as I can muster after hearing the audible and frustrated groan that slips from his mouth.

“Pity. And here I thought I could persuade you tocomeat both,” Trent grumbles.

I don’t even try to hide my smirk when he calls defeat and turns to his side, his shoulder glued to mine.

Thankfully, Trent lets me enjoy the rest of the concert without uttering another word. In fact, the only time he opens his mouth is to hum a few lyrics under his breath.

I never pegged him as a music lover, let alone someone who went to concerts in his free time.

When he said he bribed someone to tell him where I’d be tonight, I almost believed he was being dead serious. But now, seeing that he’s actually enjoying himself, I feel a little bit foolish in thinking such a thing.

It’s just a coincidence that he’s here.

However, it does raise the question of how he knew I’d be here to send for me.
