Cole: Deep thoughts for so early in the day.

Mira: I’ve been up since 4:30.

Cole: Ouch.

Mira: #bakerslife

Cole: Hmm. I love owning a studio, but my YouTube channel is what really gets my motor running these days. So maybe doing something that helps get more kids involved in music. I’d also sail more. And I’d travel. What about you? What would you do if you could do anything?

Mira: I’d convince more businesses to move to Red Falls so downtown could thrive again.

Cole: That’s amazing, and I’d love to see it too. But what would you do just for you?

Mira: I’d make wedding cakes.

Cole: Don’t you already make wedding cakes? I seem to remember one recently that was sinfully delicious, especially that top tier.

Mira: *fans face*

Cole: *takes quick cold shower*

Mira: lol

Cole: So you’d make more wedding cakes?

Mira: I’d make only wedding cakes. It’s surprisingly hard to break into the wedding cake market. Everyone goes to the big bakeries in Bozeman or Missoula. I get maybe one or two orders a year no matter how much I market.

Cole: Why wedding cakes?

Mira: At the wedding, you told me that Madigan and Ashley would remember my cake forever. That’s it. Baking takes so much time and attention to detail and care, but whatever you bake is usually eaten and enjoyed and forgotten about.

Cole: I’ll never forget your tarts.

Mira: omg

Cole: sorry

Mira: Don’t be (deleted)

Mira: People remember their wedding cakes, they’re moved by them. And designing one takes a level of creativity and originality and emotion I don’t get to use every day. There are only so many tarts a woman can make before she burns out.

Cole: I hear you. There are only so many dramatic backing tracks a man can lay down for crime procedurals before he burns out too. I love drumming, but there is good drumming, bad drumming, and lightning running through my fucking fingers drumming.

Mira: You get me.

Cole: God, I wish (deleted)

Cole: I get you.

Mira: It’s ironic too, because I don’t actually like weddings.

Cole: You don’t? Why not? I love weddings. Sometimes you meet the most interesting people…

Mira: That is very true. I don’t know. I guess I’m just jaded. I’ve seen relationships end too many times to believe two people will stay together forever.

Cole: Ahh, you’re a realist.

Mira: I suppose. What are you?
