His cocky grin and sexy swagger as he slowly walks to me has my heart melting all over again. Wrapping both of his arms around me from behind, he grips my wrist and brings my hand up to slip a ring gently down my finger.

My eyes water as I see it’s my grandmother’s engagement ring. It’s simple with its princess cut diamond and white gold band, but so beautiful. “Marry me, Oaklynn, make me the happiest man in the world. Call me your husband so I can call you my wife.”

Spinning in his arms, I open my mouth to say of course when his crashes over mine and I’m left breathless as his tongue delves deep, exploring, tasting, taking everything he wants.

When he pulls back, I breathe, “Yes.”

He leans his head against mine and right before his eyes close with happiness I see tears pool in their stormy depths and I know I have the man I was meant to be with.

Strong.

Powerful.

Yet, vulnerable for only me when it’s called for. Being snowed in was the best thing to ever happen to either of us and I couldn’t be more grateful for it now.
