Xavier smiled. “Very good. All right, why don’t you all have a seat over here?” He gestured toward some chairs and sat on a stool. He started entering details into a tablet.

Remy stood and carried her over to one of the chairs.

He sat, settling her on his lap.

Loki strode over and sat next to them. She wrung her hands together anxiously. was upset with her and she knew she deserved it. Loki reached over and placed his hand on hers. And it was like she could breathe easier. He squeezed tight as Xavier looked up at them all.

“Right. There’re a few things I’m concerned about.”

A whimper escaped her and Xavier’s eyes widened. He moved closer to her. “Hey, I didn’t mean to upset you. Everything is going to be all right.”

She still didn’t think he could say that.

“But it’s not normal to faint. Or to feel so dizzy and lethargic. It could be something very minor, so I don’t want you to worry. I think we’ll know more once the blood tests come back. In the meantime, I want you to rest. All right? No work. No exercise other than a light walk. You’re to sleep and eat and let your two men pamper you.”

“We’ll do that,” Remy agreed.

Loki just nodded.

“Good. Lots of healthy food. Protein. Fruit. Veggies. I know Littles sometimes struggle with that, but you need to try.”

“Isa is good at eating her veggies,” Loki told him.

“Good girl. Now, hold out your hand.” Xavier reached into his pocket and drew out a stamp. He stamped her hand and when she looked down she saw a smiley face.

“Go home. Don’t panic, all right? Let me do the worrying for you.”

Remy carried her into the house on his hip.

Thank God he’d planned to stay the weekend because there is no way he could leave her.

Fuck. Tonight had been a lot. She seemed more upset about going to the doctor than what her boss had done to her.

But he wondered if that was going to hit her later.

And what the fuck was wrong with her? Xavier hadn’t seemed too worried, but that could have been because he didn’t want to alarm Isa.

“We need to get some food into her,” Remy told Loki as the other man drew Isa’s coat off her.

“Wanna go bed,” she grumbled. “No food.”

“Baby, you need to eat,” Remy told her gently.

“Nooo.”

“What about the baby bottle we bought her?” Loki suggested. “We also got that protein powder that Aunt Marie recommended. She said it can be used as a meal supplement.”

Remy nodded. “Can you get her ready for bed while I get it prepared?” He shifted her to Loki’s arms.

“I is sorry, Ki-Ki.”

“Shh,” Loki soothed. “You don’t need to worry.”

“I feel so bad, though. I kept stuff from you. And I know you’re upset. Can you spank me so I feel better?”

Loki glanced at him in alarm and worry.
