“Spencer, I know you can hear me. Keep your eyes on the surveillance with Zeke. You can do this babygirl.”

“I got this,” she replies.

“You got this.”

Turning to face Riot, I signal for him to take the other side of the door. He quickly and quietly drops down to the grass, rolling to the opposite side of the door, narrowly avoiding the windows. With his Glock in hand, he presses his back to the exterior wall of the cabin.

“Positions?” I whisper.

Everyone affirms they are where they need to be, and I suck in a breath, preparing myself for the invasion.

“Zeke, are you in?”

“I’m in boss. Keep in mind, I can only keep the walls up for 10 minutes, tops. There’s probably an alert going to their hacker as we speak, and he’s good. I’ll hold him for as long as I can though.”

“What do we have?”

“There’s 8 on the first floor, 3 on the second, and two in the basement. Everyone is armed. I can’t get facial recs on anyone, so be careful.”

“Noted. Alright team, on three.”

The silent countdown to three feels like the longest three seconds of my entire life. An eternity reduced to mere moments. Sucking in a deep breath, I turn and kick the back door wide open, making my way through the south entrance, with Riot hot on my heels.

“Left Trav,” Zeke’s voice filters through my ears and I quickly snap to the left just as a man jumps through the doorway of the den. Before he can flip the safety on his piece, I pull the trigger on my Glock splattering blood and brain matter all over the wall behind him.

Riot moves to the right as we enter the main room. Shots ring out on the other side of the house and I know the brothers have made it inside.

“Han, now,” I hear Blaize’s voice command.

If everything is going according to plan, she should be scaling the side of the cabin now, preparing to take on the men on the top floor. A dull thud rings out above my head, telling me the plan is good and she’s up there kicking ass. Crouching down to the left, I creep through the room to the interconnecting kitchen, when two men run out in masks. One manages to fire off a shot before I can pull the trigger. I hear Riot groan as I fire my gun, hitting one of them in the leg. Riot still manages to fire off another one of his own from behind me, hitting the other man in the shoulder.

The man that Riot shot lunges forward at me, knocking the Glock from my grip. Unsheathing my knife, I slide to the ground, thrusting the blade into his thigh. As he spins and begins to fall, I flip the knife, changing my hold on the grip and slice through his achilles tendon.

His screams bounce off the walls just as Blaize barges into the room shooting another man in the face.

Moving to the bodies one by one, I pull up the masks of the two men we took down, and check their faces. Neither one being of any use, I slit their throats with my knife before sheathing the blade and picking up the Glock that was knocked from my hand.

“You good kid?” I ask as he presses his hand to his shoulder.

Blood spills between his fingers but he nods anyway and grits between his teeth, “It just clipped me, I’ll be fine.”

“Blaize?”

“Fuck man, I shot him in the face. I uh, there’s neck tats though, it’s not him.”

Hannah’s voice comes through the comms, “Trav, checking in. No Grant up here just three dead low levels.”

Moving to the middle of the house, Riot and I convene with the brothers.

“No Grant,” Arsenal advises.

Two more men rush into the room, and Riot fires off two shots taking one man out at the knees, as I shoot the other in his thigh.

“There’s two coming up the back stairwell,” Spencer’s voice filters through my ears and spinning around on one heel, I fire off several shots at the same time as Arsenal. Holstering his Glock, Arsenal jogs over to the bodies ripping off masks.

“No Grant,” he sighs before putting a bullet in each of their skulls.

“Fuck, guys I’m out. He’s got me blocked. I saw a message get sent through the server though, they called for reinforcements. Location tracking shows guys just a few minutes out. Everyone get the fuck out of there, now!” Zeke shouts.
