“Dante, no! It’s too much!” She bucked against him for a full thirty seconds or so before he felt her relax and give into the re-building pleasure, and soon her hips were rising once more to meet his mouth and her squeals melted into low moans. Once she had stopped her struggling, Dante freed one of her wrists and inserted two fingers inside her tight pussy as he darted his tongue over her clit even more rapidly.

He could feel Aurora’s muscles clamp down hard on his fingers as she flew over the edge into her second climax, and he moved his mouth up to hers to swallow her moan, letting her taste herself as he kissed her thoroughly.

After finally breaking the kiss, he slid over to lay on his side next to her, petting her hair while she came back down to Earth.

“Wow,” she said, a spacey look on her face.

“Now that’s what I call physical therapy,” Dante said, and Aurora sat up looking at him with her best scolding look.

“Your tongue doesn’t need exercise! But, since you insist on being a bad influence, I suppose the least I can do is return the favor…”

Aurora got onto all fours, her thong still tangled around her thighs, and pushed him onto his back, fumbling to undo the button on his pants.

Suddenly, Dante heard someone loudly clear their throat, and both he and Aurora froze and looked up toward the sound. Nurse Ruth was standing there with her hands crossed over her chest, a half disapproving, half amused expression on her face.

“So this is what you call ‘doing your exercises’ huh?”

Aurora bolted upright, grabbing her nearby shirt and trying her best to cover her nakedness.

“Ruth! Um… we were just taking a break. I swear I was helping him do the exercises. We already finished.”

“I’ll bet you did,” Ruth said, a smile tugging at the corner of her mouth. “Well lunch is ready, so get a move on.”

She turned to walk inside, shaking her head the whole way.

Two weeks later

Aurora watched Dante move around the kitchen. He had offered to cook her dinner tonight, which was really sweet, especially since this was the first night they’d had together since Ruth had moved out, leaving them with their privacy once more.

He looked so handsome in his slacks and button-down shirt, his sleeves rolled up as he moved back and forth between the cutting board and the stove. Whatever he was making smelled delicious, like butter and garlic. Aurora noticed that his energy had been much better the last couple of days, and he was moving around pretty well now too, although he still had a barely noticeable limp.

She glanced down at her phone, pretending to scroll but actually trying to distract herself from the feelings of guilt. If she hadn’t run straight into the arms of her evil Uncle Gennaro, none of this would have happened. She had been so naïve to the dangers of being in this world.

When Dante placed a steaming plate of delicious-looking chicken stir-fry in front of her, she looked up and smiled at him. He returned her smile as he sat across from her with his own plate, but his expression changed to a look of concern as he studied her face.

“You look a bit down. Are you feeling okay? Does your head hurt?”

“No, I’m fine,” Aurora said. She hadn’t felt the effects of her concussion for weeks now, though Dante never seemed to fully believe that when she told him. He didn’t seem to especially believe her now, either.

Patting his lap, he ordered, “Come sit with me, babygirl.” Aurora obeyed, pushing back her chair and climbing into his lap.

Dante kissed her cheek and held her close for a moment. “It’s been a wild few weeks, hasn’t it?”

“Yeah,” Aurora said, unsure why she was having trouble with words all of the sudden.

“You know I’ve missed having time with you.”

“Me too.”

Aurora took a deep breath. She couldn’t even fully explain to herself why she was feeling so unsettled today. She had been missing Dante too, but it was more than that. She was feeling disconnected from him, like she wasn’t quite sure where to go from here.

“I’m sorry I’ve made things so… difficult,” she started. She could tell instantly from Dante’s expression that he knew exactly what she was feeling, like he was peering into her soul.

“It’s nothing we can’t work through together, my little bride.”

She smiled. He hadn’t called her that in a little while.

“I know you’re feeling a little unsure about what happens next, but you don’t need to worry. None of it is up to you, anyway.”
