I pocketed the damn thing.

“It’s time, isn’t it?” she asked.

I fixed on those eyes and gave a slow nod. She straightened her spine. “Then let’s get this over with.”

I didn’t have time to respond, not that I knew what I’d say. Her fingers grazed my arm as she strode past, heading for the door. In an instant, it was open and the faint voices of my men and her sisters invaded.

“Where is she?” the feisty one barked. “Where is my sister?”

“I’m here.” Helene called and stepped out into the hallway, followed closely by a massive motherfucker. A bodyguard for Vivienne, no doubt.

I followed her, catching careful glances from my men, then daggers from her family. Riven and Kane waited. Thomas was nowhere to be seen…again. My little brother was starting to worry me.

“Are we ready?” As he asked, St. James watched his woman carefully.

He should. The daggers she was throwing with her stare might get her into trouble. I lowered my gaze to her big round stomach and gave a nod. “Yeah.”

St. James stepped closer, drawing my focus. He didn’t like me looking at his woman. I glanced toward the movement as the Sons stepped in, scanned my men, and headed our way. Carven and Colt drew my men’s attention but none more than Riven’s.

A sea of red came through the doorway as one by one the Daughters stepped in, their gazes fixed on my brothers.

“You know what you have to do?” Kane asked as he walked along each one, touching them gently on the shoulder.

He’d been prepping them since he arrived, making sure they knew what to do. All we needed was for them to get inside, then they were free. One wrapped her arm around her middle, another shifted suspiciously closer to Kyrell. He stared straight ahead, eyes fixed on Kane.

But Helene was the one who stepped forward, wrapped her arms around her sister, and jerked a glare at St. James. “She’s not involved in this, right?”

He scowled and shook his head. “I told her she’s to follow a safe distance behind, with Guild.”

“Make sure you do.” Helene forced her sister’s gaze to hers. “You need to protect those babies.”

Babies?

Huh.

I didn’t have time to ponder which one was the father as the dark-haired son moved closer to her, eyeballing me like he had a problem. I met that stare and stilled. Something not quite human moved behind those dark blue eyes, something that made me wary. That never happened.

“Okay.” Kane glanced around the room. “Sounds like we’re ready.”

“Almost,” St. James muttered as the deep, throaty growl of a muscle car invaded.

The Bankses were here. Car doors opened as the engine died.

“Now we go,” St. James declared.

“Boss.”

I lifted my gaze, nodded to the others, and headed toward Thad.

“What is it?”

“We lost Kyrell,” he murmured.

I glanced toward the door as Nick Banks and his brothers strode through, dressed in black khakis and double shoulder holsters packing some pretty nice armor. “Find him,” I growled, not looking away.

Thad disappeared. This was not a good time for anyone, much less Kyrell, to go MIA.

“Hunter.” Nick Banks nodded my way, watching Thad walk out. “Everything good here?”
