Page 51 of Loving Liam

“It wouldn’t have hurt me to call, though, or to reply to your messages, even if it was just to say hello. Hell, I could have at least acknowledged them. Did I say I wasn’t very good at this?”

He’d refused to meet my eyes throughout this exchange, and that wouldn’t do.

“Liam, look at me.” I lifted his chin. Expressive, warm eyes met mine, and I melted. His vulnerability was clear. How could I have been so cold? He deserved more than I could give him.

“Maybe I’m not the one for you. I’m hopeless with this whole thing. Can you really teach an old dog new tricks? I don’t want to disappoint you, and I’m scared that’s what I’ll do.” I didn’t think I’d ever been so open with anyone. What was it about him that brought this out in me?

“Maybe you will disappoint me, but I’ll probably do that too. I’m not perfect, John. I’ve so many faults that most don’t stick with me. But I’m willing to try, and I’d like to teach this very handsome old dog some new tricks.”

Communication was key. I’d found that out. If I wanted Liam in my life, I’d have to learn.

“Can you forgive me? I promise to do better.”

“I think I can give you another chance.”

He wrinkled his nose. “I need to shower and tidy this room. It’s giving me hives.”

“I’ll admit to being surprised. This is unlike you.” I gestured to the clothes on the floor.

“I was all up inside my head. When you didn’t text me back, I thought you didn’t want me anymore. You left me on read, John. I thought…”

“Don’t. This was all on me. It was my fault. Now come over here. We have some making up to do.”

“Not until I’ve showered and cleaned my teeth.” He huffed a breath into his hand and gagged. “Yeah, you won’t wanna kiss this.”

I didn’t care and grabbed the front of his shirt, pulling him towards me.

I planted a kiss on his lips. No tongue, no open mouths, just a kiss.

He pulled back, his eyes wide.

“Join me.” He said.

“What?”

“In the shower. Come shower with me.”

“Is it big enough? I’m a big guy, Liam.” This could go very badly.

“Live a little.” He yanked me to my feet.

“What about Drew?”

“Fuck, Drew. Actually, don’t. He wouldn’t thank you.” The cheeky smile was back, and I was happy we’d been able to talk this through. So many times, relationships had failed because one or other party refused to relent. Thank goodness we were both adult enough.

Reluctantly, I followed him to the bathroom. The shower stall was bigger than I’d expected. Maybe this would work.

Liam stripped off and stood naked before me. Like a magnet, my eyes were drawn to his cock, and I was mesmerised as it twitched.

“Don’t look at it like that unless you intend to do something about it.”

Oh, I had plans for it. My mouth watered. I wanted to taste it and curled my fingers around his thickened cock. He shuddered, opening his legs slightly.

Definitely taking that as an invitation, I took his balls in my other hand, feeling the weight of them. Had he done as I’d instructed and not touched himself?

“Were you a good boy while I was gone, Liam?”

He looked at me, puzzled.
