I nodded my head. “Yes, I understand,” I said, not sure I could deny him anything while he touched me. I looked over and found Delaney riveted by our exchange.

Ivan nodded. “Good. I’m going to get rid of these boxes,” he said, walking back over the folded cardboard, gathering it up and walking out.

Delaney stared at me.

“What?” I asked, but I already knew.

“Holy shit, Emmy. I don’t know if your boyfriend turns me on or terrifies me.”

Chapter 6

Ivan

I dumped the cardboard boxes in the bin at the back of Emmy’s building, relieved to have a moment away from the increasingly claustrophobic space of her dorm room.

If her roommate hadn’t walked in, I would have kissed her. Would probably still be kissing her right now.

Jesus, what a fucking mess.

For years, I’d known Emmy was beautiful, brave, smart, and talented. Now? Now, I knew she had a delicious intensity and a playful sense of humor. That she was so fucking sexy it was a miracle I hadn’t torn off her cute little shorts, pulled her legs apart, and fucked her the minute I walked into her room.

I had a decision to make. I was either going to give in to my attraction to her or I was going to die trying to fight it. I couldn’t keep pretending I was fighting it, only to ultimately give in.

Perhaps she would be willing to have a casual relationship while we pretended to date? A casual sexual relationship. Just the thought of finally being able to strip her, hold her down, and ravage that body had me on the verge of marching back up to her room to make just that proposal.

No. Fuck no.

I shook my head at the irrationality of my thoughts. Why would a girl like Emmy settle for a fling with someone who planned to offer her nothing. Girls like her, they didn’t even know the meaning of the word casual. I would be setting us both up for misery if I pursued this, even if she settled for a commitment-free affair. With the way she pulled at me, if I gave in, I would never be free of her.

I had to stay strong—for both of our sakes.

I stalked back to Emmy’s room, determined to say goodbye and get the hell out of there. I opened the door and all my intentions flew out the window as I stared at her.

She had her arms stretched over her head trying to hang something on the wall. The smooth expanse of her stomach and lower back were exposed and her shorts hung off gently rounded hips my hands ached to grip. She was on her tiptoes trying to push a thumb tack into the wall, but having little success.

Emmy’s roommate was messing with her phone. “What do you like to listen to, Emmy?”

“I’m fine with whatever,” Emmy panted as she pressed down on the tack.

I moved forward, the front of my body pressed against the back of hers. “Here, let me help you,” I said. I took the tack from her hands and pressed into the wall, the strength required causing me to sandwich her between the wall and my body. I didn’t know if she realized she was moving her hips slightly, maybe shifting her weight from foot to foot. The end result was her ass riding against my stiffening dick.

Fuck, she felt good. I had never been so grateful to feel a thumbtack slide into plaster. As soon as I did, I jumped back. She whirled around, her hazel blue eyes wide with building desire and surprise.

I did the only thing I could.

I bolted.

“Okay, I’m out of here. See you later,” I called over my shoulder at no one in particular.

“Aren’t you going to kiss your girlfriend goodbye?” asked Delaney in surprise.

Goddammit.

I turned and gave Delaney a pained smile. “Yeah, I don’t know what I was thinking.”

I walked back to Emmy, her wide eyes alight with anticipation and arousal. I slid my hand around the back of her neck and planted a hard kiss on her soft mouth. When I felt her tongue brush against my lower lip, I knew I needed to end the kiss before I threw her on the bed and fucked her in front of her roommate.

I pulled back, and her little moan of dismay had my dick to bucking against my jeans. Jesus Christ, she was sexy.
