Page 53 of Daring to Surrender

Her hips met him thrust for thrust as his fingers pumped in and out of her tight hole. “Please, Travis,” she pleaded.

The sound of his real name in her throaty lust-filled voice made him groan. “What do you need, princess?” he urged.

She struggled for breath and their eyes connected. “It’s not enough. I need you. Inside of me.”

He closed his eyes against the pain of her request. “No, baby. You’re too sore. We need to wait. Let you heal.”

She cupped his cheek and searched deep into his eyes. “The only thing that is going to hurt is if you deny us what we both want.”

He opened his mouth to argue, but then she said the one thing he never expected. “Fuck me, Travis.”

That dirty word coming out of her innocent mouth made it impossible to do anything other than what she asked. Getting to his knees between her thighs, he took one of her legs, bent it at the knee, and pushed it upward against her chest, opening her wider. Suspended over her body, he lined his cock up and thrust inside.

“Travis!” she cried, thrusting her hips. She grasped his forearms, digging her nails in. He hissed at the bite of pain and sank the rest of the way in.

He threw his head back and cried out, “Fuck, Janel…” He went deeper, withdrew, and pushed back in. “You feel so Goddamn good!”

Every thought. Every movement. Every breath he took was for his princess’s pleasure. His arms strained and the veins in his neck bulged, but nothing else mattered.

“Fuck!” he roared as she clamped down on his cock, her orgasm spurring his own. Spurts of cum hit her walls as he pumped until every drop had been drained from his balls.

His eyes flashed open. “Goddamn it,” he swore as he pulled out, semen soaking his dick and leaking from her hole. Seeing his cum on her made him want to beat his chest like the damned Neanderthal she accused him of being. How could he have forgotten? “Shit!”

He looked up and didn’t like seeing the hurt and confused look in her eyes. “I’m sorry, Princess. I never forget. Ever.”

“Forget what?”

He scrubbed a hand down his face. “I didn’t wear a condom. I came inside of you.”

“You’re worried I could be pregnant?”

Was he? Never in his life had he ever imagined being a father. His gaze went to her stomach and he pictured that flat belly swollen with his child. He closed his eyes against the damn tempting image. What did he know about being a father? Not a fucking thing. “Yes, but only that. I’m clean, I promise. I’ve never been with anyone without a condom.”

“Oh, I hadn’t thought of that. But, Travis, it’s okay. I had to go on birth control pills when I was sixteen because I had really bad period pains.”

He should have been fucking relieved hearing that. The surprising disappointment in his belly was leading him to a path he couldn’t and wouldn’t go down. “Let me get something to clean you up,” he said absently as he got off the bed and walked naked to the bathroom. Wetting a wash cloth, he waited for the water to warm but kept his eyes lowered, refusing to face himself in the mirror, afraid of what he’d find there.

Distracted with his own thoughts, he didn’t notice her embarrassment at having him widen her legs and clean the mess he’d made. He tossed the cloth behind him on the floor and pulled the cover down. She crawled in and he slid in behind her. With his hand on her stomach, he drew her closer to his chest.

“What just happened, Travis?”

Still shaken, he turned her question into joke. “If you don’t know, I didn’t do it right, sweetheart.”

“Stop. Don’t do that. Talk to me. Afterwards, you went somewhere. Somewhere I couldn’t follow.”

She saw too damn much. He nuzzled her hair, soaking in her scent and the softness. “You make me want things I can never have.”

“Things, or us?”

“Does it matter? There will never be an us. What we just shared is all we can ever have and it’s my damn fault for putting you at risk by being so lost in you that I forgot to use a fucking condom.”

“But why? Why can’t we have more?” She pressed for answers she should have already had.

“I don’t know the first thing about being in a relationship. Hell, even if I did, we still wouldn’t work. You’re a goddamn princess and I’m not someone you should even associate with. You don’t need my kind of dirty messing up your life.”

“Are you making my decisions for me once again, Travis? That hasn’t worked out well for you so far.”

A grin felt so out of place pulling on his lips, but he couldn’t help himself. He loved her sass. “Okay, princess. You tell me how you see this going.”
