He breathed me in as if I were the greatest elixir in the cosmos.

I licked at his collarbone, straining at the muscles underneath.

He pulled back, although it looked like the very last thing he wished to do. “I… need to show you what I really look like,” he said.

“What you look like?” I said, momentarily confused.

He pulled his shirt off over his head, but as he did so, his skin came with it.

His disguise crumpled to the floor, and he stood before me.

His skin was like a lizard’s, crisscrossed by scales and shimmering with the overhead light.

His eyes switched from blue to golden, like a lion’s.

He was taller even than his human disguise — and must have been seven feet in total.

He even had a tail!

It flicked side to side as he looked down at me, the first time I had seen an expression of vulnerability on his face.

“You look…” I began, searching for the right word.

“Alien.”

“Gorgeous.”

He smiled, forming cute dimples in either of his cheeks.

“You might have stepped from one of my favorite sci-fi romance books,” I said. “You’re everything…”

You’re everything I ever imagined.

I stopped myself.

After all, we had only known each other a short period of time, and yet… yet, I couldn’t help but feel like we had known each other much, much longer than that.

He pulled off his pants and kicked off the shoes.

His feet splayed out, more like hands, clearly not used to being confined.

He wasn’t shy he had removed all his clothing, along with the disguise.

I swallowed what little saliva I had in my throat as I gazed upon the massive appendage between his legs.

He took a step toward me, and it swung pendulously.

Holy moly! Look at the size of that thing!

It stirred and wasn’t even at full mast yet!

I held up a hand.

He had been vulnerable with me, so I would do the same.

I only hoped he would be as impressed with me as I was with him.

I didn’t want to disappoint him.
