I went up onto my tiptoes and kissed him on the lips. “Then I look forward to my next dose. You know what they say.”

“What?”

“A cumshot a day keeps the doctor away.”

We both roared with laughter.

Mayn

The moment our ship touched down on Zephyra’s docking bay, I felt a mixture of nostalgia and tension.

My home planet, with its gleaming spires, bustling markets, and warrior arenas, had always been a sight to behold.

But coming back, especially with Emilia in tow, carried its own set of challenges.

Emilia stepped out, her eyes widening in awe.

The tall, glittering structures, carved from radiant gem-like minerals, captured the sunlight in a dazzling display of colors.

The air was thick with a potent energy that seemed to buzz and hum, resonating with the planet’s warrior spirit.

“This is… incredible, Mayn,” she whispered, taking in the sight.

Her wonder soon shifted to trepidation as she observed Zephyran children, barely older than toddlers, training with energy weapons.

They moved with a precision and discipline that belied their young age.

Nearby, seasoned warriors sparred, their moves fluid and deadly.

As we made our way deeper into the city, I could feel the weight of countless eyes on us — especially on Emilia.

Her Earthly features and attire made her stand out, and the Zephyrans, despite our advanced civilization, could be unyieldingly traditional.

We hadn’t gone far when a patrol of Zephyran guards blocked our path.

Their leader, a tall, armored figure with eyes like polished steel, stepped forward. “State your business,” he demanded, his gaze unwavering as it settled on Emilia.

Drawing myself up to my full height, I replied, “I am Prince Mayn of the House of Tarik. I’ve returned to seek aid for my companion, who has been poisoned by our enemy, the Vendikar.”

The guard’s gaze sharpened, scrutinizing me for a moment. “Mayn? I thought you were exiled.”

Before I could respond, another voice chimed in. “He was. But every Zephyran has the right to return, especially in times of need.”

Stepping out from the crowd was Lirak, a warrior I’d known since my early days.

His reputation was legendary, and while our paths often diverged, I knew he was someone I could trust.

Lirak approached, nodding in acknowledgment. “It’s been too long, Mayn.”

“It has, old friend,” I replied.

Lirak turned his attention to Emilia, his expression unreadable. “And who is this?”

“This is Emilia,” I said, placing a protective hand on her shoulder. “She’s the reason we’ve come. She needs the antidote, Lirak.”

Lirak’s gaze softened slightly, but his tone was still stern. “Zephyra might not be as welcoming as you remember, especially to outsiders. Our traditions run deep, and your request will be met with skepticism if not outright hostility.”

“I understand,” I replied. “But we have no choice. The Vendikars won’t stop, and neither will we.”
