"Let's wait a few minutes until the crowd disperses, and then we'll go."

We sit there in silence, her breath slowly going back to normal. I glance at Tyley, admiring how earnest her beauty truly is. She's not one of those women who step into the gym with a sexy little number and makeup on. Her hair is bundled up in a messy updo, and her skin is flushed and shiny from exertion.

She came here to work out, not to look hot—she does, without a doubt, and that adds an extra layer of authenticity to her. I find myself drawn to her rawness, determination, and the fire that burns inside her.

"Alright," she yells out all of a sudden, and I cock my head, wondering what she's talking about. "I'll do it. If only to piss Adam off."

I can't help but smirk at her burst of determination. Oh, this is a girl I want to get to know, alright.

I get the feeling she gets the same rush at being challenged as I do, so I ask, "Are you sure you can deal with the media?"

"I can handle anything they throw my way."

I chuckle, her fierce spirit as enticing to me as her sensual silhouette. There’s no doubt in my mind that she can do that and much more. “This is going to be fun, babe.”

“Oh, no,” she shakes her head, raising a brow high on her forehead. “No babes, no sweethearts, no honey. I hate those.”

"I need a pet name for you. Choose one, and I'll stick with it."

"Ty, you can call me Ty."

"Fine, then. Ty. I can still find a way to get under your skin, babe or no babe."

She rolls her eyes, but her full lips still curl up into a grin. I think I’m starting to get to her. "You're impossible."

I lean back on the bench, a smug grin spreading across my face. "Impossible? Nah, just a challenge you haven't figured out how to handle yet."

She looks at me then, those sky-blue eyes of hers searching into mine, and I’m surprised by the sudden skip my heart makes. What the hell is this woman doing to me?

"Maybe I like a challenge."

It's my turn to raise my brow, and she chuckles, the sound pleasant and alluring. "Is that so?"

She nods, and perhaps despite herself, a dash of pink rises in her cheeks.

"Well then, Ty," my voice is low and filled with promise. "Get ready, because I'm about to make your life a whole lot more interesting."

Tyley

When I walk into Grayson's house, it's like stepping into a Pinterest board on steroids. The foyer alone is bigger than my entire apartment, and the marble floors beneath my feet make it seem like I'm walking on clouds, which is a nice touch, I suppose, if you're into that sort of thing.

It's like the entire place is telling me: "Welcome to the land of the rich and famous, Tyley. Don't break anything!".

I'm a New York girl through and through, but the Hamptons are a whole other world. Sure, I'll visit a nightclub there now and then, especially if there's a good act playing, but living there requires some serious dough.

I stand in an ample study, awkward and hesitant, while Grayson's manager, Tate something, takes out a thick stack of papers from his briefcase and places it on the huge mahogany desk.

Grayson stands beside his manager—or rather, he towers over him, looking effortlessly stylish in a tailored suit. I doubt he owns anything that wasn't made with his size in mind. My heart stutters as he flashes me that charming grin in a way that makes me feel vulnerable and naked.

I decide my best bet is to focus on the task at hand; I'm not here to be swooned over by a famous athlete.

"Alright, Miss Evans," Tate begins, but I interrupt him before he can go any further.

"Tyley is fine."

"Alright, then, Tyley. This contract outlines the terms of your relationship with Grayson. It's pretty standard stuff, really: a non-disclosure agreement, a stipulated number of public appearances, the percentage of the profits obtained from the fight, and the contracts we can assure you with each one of Grayson's sponsors. That part is not legally binding. If you're not interested in working with one or more of these sponsors, you can reject their proposals."
