He ran his palm up and down Levi's chest, soothing his groggy mind as he slowly woke up. Elias wasn't sure what to do the morning after. Despite his body being in good shape, he was overwhelmed by a feeling of embarrassment. Was it because of the cross? The talk beforehand? Passing out? For every reason, his face heated a bit more.

"Mm," Levi groaned, shifting beneath him. "Hey, baby."

Elias smiled into the alpha's neck, enjoying the rumble of his voice against warm, clean skin. Apparently Levi cleaned them up.

"Hi."

Levi's eyes fluttered open, their sleepy haze making them softer than ever. Elias got lost in them for a moment, leaning forward until their lips pressed together. Levi crooned, smiling into the kiss and tightening his arms around Elias' lower back.

"How are you?" Levi asked.

"I'm fine, a little sore, but content."

Levi sat up and held Elias in his arms, the warmth and weight of his body against his chest. They left the playroom behind to slip into Levi's bedroom instead. Fading daylight cast a warm glow on the floor that Elias wouldn't mind lying in like a cat sunning itself.

"Lie down here for a minute while I run the bath," Levi said, setting him on the bed.

Elias didn't have the chance to protest the princess treatment before his alpha was gone, slipping into the connected master bath. He sat up with a slight wince, rubbing at his lower back and looking more closely at his surroundings.

Crown molding highlighted the eggshell walls, accompanied by a light cream carpet and heavy curtains. Several vivid paintings of waterfalls and forest scenes hung throughout the room, and several plants decorated the windowsills and corners… Was Levi an outdoorsman? Elias never would've guessed, but truthfully, they were unfamiliar with each other.

They'd been on three dates, counting this one. It's possible that he could spend the rest of their time together familiarizing himself with his new alpha. Despite his doubts about their plan to form a pack, he'd allow himself to dream until meeting the existing pack and questioning their omega. Truth was, every single man in his life was decent. Nice, good looking, and successful. It's crazy they wanted him, a washed-up, 29-year-old omega.

Elias assumed they were also older alphas without a mate, so perhaps he was a catch, as well. He held onto that thought as he pushed up off the bed and padded to the bathroom doorway, leaning his head into the jamb. Levi puttered around the jacuzzi tub, pouring in various salts and oils while humming in the back of his throat.

It was nice to see him being so doting, kind of like a peek behind the curtain. Elias watched in silence with a small smile on his face until Levi turned around. The alpha jumped at his sudden appearance, flinging bath salts through the air. Elias laughed, pressing one hand to his mouth as he did. Levi looked embarrassed, but chuckled while stalking closer and reaching for him with a low, playful growl.

Elias shied away with a squeal, gasping when Levi lunged to tickle him around the ribs. He made a run for it, but his alpha wasn't having any of that, chasing him around the bathroom as Elias laughed his head off. By their third lap, Levi scooped him into his arms by the tub, leaning down to shut off the tap before it overflowed.

He was still smiling from ear to ear when warm, soothing water the color of pale rose blossoms coated his skin. Elias sighed, snuggling deeper into Levi's arms. He sat snug between the alpha's broad thighs, back to chest. Their pheromones wafted through the steaming air, coaxing him into a trance.

"Man," he groaned, using both hands to splash some water on his face, inhaling the sweet scent of it. "This is nice."

Levi hummed to match him, rubbing his shoulders. "I'm glad. So, what do you want to do after we soak?"

"Maybe dinner and chat?"

"That's a simple request to fulfill," Levi mused, grabbing a washcloth and squirting body wash onto it. "What do you like to eat?"

Instead of Levi washing him, Elias grabbed the cloth and did it himself. It gave him time to think. He wasn't someone who needed extravagant dinners, and he suspected that's what Levi would choose if he left it up to the alpha.

Elias was certain of one thing—he loved anything Ian cooked. Lemon pepper chicken, fresh vegetables, salads of all kinds, seafood… He wasn't picky, but when outside the house, he loved a good slice of classic pepperoni pizza.

"This might be strange, but I'm really craving pizza," he mumbled, slinking down to dunk his head under the water, scrubbing.

Then he turned so they could face each other, tangling their legs. Levi engaged the water jets and grasped Elias' hips, placing him properly on his lap. He has to ignore how big his alpha's cock was even when soft, let alone it being hard and inside him. Elias' ears were going to steam right off at the thought of his pleading for more and harder yesterday.

I'm insane…

"That sounds good to me too," Levi replied, snapping him back to the moment.

Elias reeled, glancing down to swirl the water with his fingers.

Just get it together, act natural! Omega-you and real-you are not the same.

"So," he coughed, wincing. "I saw in your room all those paintings of nature. Are you a hiker or traveler?"

"I am. I've traveled all across Kingburgh and even beyond to other countries. However, my favorite province is West Sagefield. There are some mountains out there with waterfalls worth the trip. Those paintings are ones I've commissioned based on photos I took."
