His touch was even rougher than his voice. He flipped me around. My hands slammed against the desktop.

“I cannot wait any longer,” he growled savagely, thrusting into me.

Lust and pleasure spiraled through me, bathing my body in fire. Nero pushed my hair from my neck, then sank his fangs into me. I screamed as my blood rushed into his mouth, yearning to be one with his.

“I love you,” I moaned.

He pulled me up, flipping me back around to face him. “Good.”

Telekinetic energy exploded, throwing everything on the desk into the air. It all hung there, suspended, unmoving, as Nero lowered me slowly onto the desk.

“And I love you,” he said with a sensual twist of his lips. “More than anything.”

Tears streamed down my cheeks.

“And I want you.” His hands gently parted my thighs. “More than anything.”

I gasped when he thrust into me again. His mouth came down on mine, capturing my cry, searing my soul.

He pulled back just far enough to meet my gaze. Love and passion burned in his eyes. “You are perfect, my Angel of Chaos,” he said, then bit me again.

Blinding, overwhelming pleasure exploded inside of me. Nero roared, I screamed, and the whole desk shattered. His wings burst out, catching us before we fell. Then he carried me across the room and lowered me carefully onto the sofa. His dark wings folded around us. And that’s how we drifted off to sleep, entwined, enclosed in a warm and cozy cocoon.

THE OTHER GODDESS

Iwas awoken by the sound of voices. I used my fingers to make a tiny gap in Nero’s feather cocoon and peeked outside.

Devlin was on the other side of the room, frowning at the spot where the big desk had once stood. I nudged the gap in the feathers wider and saw Octavian was here too. But he wasn’t frowning. He was grinning right at me. I quickly sealed the gap shut.

“We’re not alone,” I whispered to Nero.

“I noticed,” he replied. There wasn’t the slightest hint of panic in his voice.

Not that I was surprised. Nero didn’t panic. He considered that trait particularly unbecoming of an angel.

“Our clothes are clear across the room,” I whispered.

“It doesn’t matter.” Nero’s wings flexed.

“Wait!” I set my hand on his arm. “We can’t go out there naked.”

“I don’t care if a couple of gods see me naked.”

Of course he didn’t. That would require modesty. Which was also unbecoming of an angel.

“Ok, but don’t you care if a couple of gods see me naked?” I asked him.

Nero frowned.

“Ok, just give me a sec,” I told him. “I’ll just use a little telekinesis to snatch our clothes?—”

“And how do you plan to put those clothes on?” he asked me with an amused twist of his lips.

He had a point. There wasn’t much space here inside this wing cocoon.

“Ok, new plan. We’ll use magic to make ourselves clothing,” I decided.
