He smiled. “Whereas I’d be delighted for an excuse to pull your hair back.”

“I think you mean hold my hair back.”

His eyes darkened. “I know what I said.”

My pulse quickened at the thought of him pulling my hair, and my stomach somersaulted so hard it growled. “Let’s order,” I squeaked, dropping my eyes to my menu. “Food is good.”
