“Probably plotting ways to make me squirm,” I mumbled under my breath.

As I filled the carafe, some of the water splashed over my swollen nipple.A low moan escaped my throat.

To keep your focus on us…

“You have no idea how focused I am right now,” I whispered.“And it’s not on coffee.”

While the coffee maker gurgled and the caffeine’s rich aroma filled the kitchen, I arranged some cream and sugar on a serving tray before filling and loading three mugs.Taking slow and careful steps, I made my way back to the bedroom without spilling a drop.

Dylan and Nick sat in the matching wingback chairs near the window.Between them, a pillow lay on the carpet.Even though I’d never attempted a true submissive serve, I’d read about them.Determined not to fail my first lesson, I cast my gaze to the floor, then carefully eased my knees onto the pillow before placing the tray on the floor in front of me.

Suddenly, anxiety flooded my veins. Not because I was naked or kneeling at their feet. But because I had no clue who I was supposed to serve first.

“Very nice, little one,” Nick praised as he leaned forward, trailing his fingers over my cheek.

“Beautifully done, kitten,” Dylan complimented with a matching caress.

I sat frozen, my mind whirling with indecision.

“May I ask a question?”

“May I ask a question,Sirs,” Nick corrected.

“Right, sorry.May I ask a question, Sirs?”

“Yes, of course.Raise your head and speak, kitten.”

I peered up at Dylan then cast a wary glance at Nick.“I don’t know who to serve first, Sirs.”My voice had turned almost meek, mirroring the smallness now consuming my soul.

“Ah, of course.”Dylan nodded.“You’re trying to figure out if there’s a hierarchy between us, aren’t you?”

“Yes, Sir.”

“Good girl.”He smiled.“You will always serve Nick first, not because I’m a lesser Dominant, but because he’s wired a bit more hardcore than I am.”

I’d already surmisedthatbased on their demeanor.Nick’s Dominance was definitely more intimidating.

Nick chuckled and shook his head.“That was a very… tactful way to put it..”

Dylan shrugged and grinned.“I try.”

Tinges of envy snaked through me.Their friendship was solid, like marble.Aside from Mellie, I’d never had a best friend.

Focusing back on my task, I peered up at Nick.“How do you like your coffee, Sir?”

“Lots of cream and lots of sugar.I enjoy sweet things…like you.”He smiled.

A shiver raced up my spine as I prepared his mug.I could feel his gaze following my every move. With trembling hands, I turned the cup until the handle faced toward him, then raised it above my head.Keeping my eyes cast toward the floor, I prayed the coffee wouldn’t slop and burn his thigh. When his broad hands encased mine, I exhaled a sigh of relief.

“You’re doing fantastic, kitten.”Dylan’s praise bolstered my confidence.“I prefer mine black, please.”

“Yes, Sir.Thank you.”

Nick’s touch calmed my trembling hands, but did nothing to slow my thundering heart. The need to please them, to prove I was worthy of their time and energy, pressed in all around me.But at the same time, their reassuring praise drew deeper yearnings to the surface.I couldn’t wrap my head around the satisfaction flooding my veins; I knew it was because of their Dominance.

Nick released my hand, then fisted the mug.“You may serve Dylan now, little one.”

Repeating the motions a second time was definitely less scary.Especially, when Dylan kissed my fingers before lifting the mug from my hand.
