Harper took a sip of wine. “They decided to share.”

“Yep. To be honest, at first, it was just that. The two of them sharing Keeley. Then Rafe and Gio’s physical relationship with each other grew from that.”

“So when you say they shared at first, it wasn’t taking turns, one man one night, the other the next, kind of thing?” Conor asked.

“Nope.” Luca was thrilled they were asking so many questions and happy to have a chance to hopefully shed a positive light on the kind of relationship he was hoping to embark on himself.

Gio had talked to Luca a lot at the beginning of his relationship with Keeley and Rafe, talking out his concerns about pushing Rafe away, if he asked for more in the bedroom. Luca was glad his twin had taken the leap and that it had worked out because he’d never seen his brother so happy.

“Ah. Three bodies in the bed. Kinky.” Harper wiggled her eyebrows.

“Did the same thing happen with Kayden and Aldo?” Conor asked.

Luca took a sip of his beer. “No. Those guys had been in a semi-relationship, off and on for years. But when Hazel showed up in Philly, Aldo said it was like the piece they’d been missing was suddenly there. All they had to do was convince her to take a chance on both of them.”

“You Morettis sure are lucky in love,” Conor observed.

“I wouldn’t say the Russos are lacking in that luck. Gage and Matt look very happy,” Luca observed.

Conor didn’t reply to that immediately. “Yeah. They are.”

There was something about Conor’s tone that captured Luca’s attention. “You hoping for some of that luck?”

Conor hesitated—long enough that Luca started to worry about his response.

“I don’t know,” he finally admitted. “I’m not sure I am.”

Harper frowned. “Why not?”

It became instantly clear that Conor wasn’t comfortable with this subject. Then again, Luca realized the man seemed reluctant to talk about himself most of the time.

“Not the settling-down type.” Conor was trying to joke himself out of the conversation.

“Ah.” Harper helped him make his escape. “So you’re a love ’em and leave ’em guy.”

Conor chuckled. “Yeah. Something like that.”

Luca grimaced, hating that Conor felt like he couldn’t open up to them. Harper had given him the bye…but Luca couldn’t let it go.

He lifted his beer bottle, leaning forward to tap it against Conor’s wineglass. “You’re a good guy, Conor. And I think you’re selling yourself short by dismissing the idea of a relationship and love.”

Conor held his gaze, a deep frown line cutting a groove between his eyes. Rather than reply, he just shrugged.

Luca wasn’t sure what part was hard for Conor—the compliment or the idea. “You and I are pretty much the last bachelors standing in our families. It’s hard being on the outside looking in. I’m happy for my brothers and cousins, but…”

“You wouldn’t mind a bit of that luck,” Conor finished for him.

“Not at all.”

“Me either,” Harper admitted.

“No long-lost loves?” Luca asked, somewhat surprised. He was on social media enough to know there were plenty of stories about Harper dating some famous rock icon or Hollywood movie star or billionaire.

Harper stared at her wine glass for a moment, and he got the impression she was going to follow Conor’s example and shrug off the question.

He tried to tell himself to ease up. Just because he had a clear view of where he hoped things between the three of them might progress, didn’t mean these two weren’t still blind to the possibility. Conor was too much of a professional, so he’d resist having an affair with his business partner and his contractor.

As for Harper…
