I distinctly remember making it out of both of those jobs well and alive, not captured and fucked up.

Walking.

I was walking, going on another one of those rants about daddy dearest when I noticed someone following me.

There was a fight, where, admittedly, I didn’t do as well as I could have.

Then I was drugged and taken.

My eyes slam open, pain be damned.

I need to know where the hell I am and who took me.

I’m in some sort of warehouse, that quickly becomes clear, so does the fact that the warehouse is abandoned. There’s graffiti lining the concrete walls, some old, some news. Moss has grown along the creaks and there’s a slight stench to the air. A few metal shipping containers sit in the back corner, rusted.

I incline my head slightly when a soft sound comes from behind me.

“Who…” my tongue still isn’t working right and I let out a groan of frustration, before attempting to get my words out. “Who are… you?”

Silence.

And then footsteps.

Something brushes along the back of my neck and somehow my body grows even hotter.

“You mean who arewe?” A low voice says, way too close to my ear.

This time when the footsteps come, they bounce around my head, too loud and harsh.

I blink, sucking in a deep breath and rolling my tongue around in my mouth as I try to get it to cooperate properly.

When I reopen my eyes there’s three men standing across from me and the second my eyes land on them, I have to remind myself that this is a kidnapping situation and I shouldn’t be checking them out, but… I’m only human.

The man on the right side is slim with wiry muscles, his short brown hair pulled back into a ponytail. Green eyes seem to dance with humor as he watches me. His long arms are covered in colorful tattoos, but it's a large, green python that seems to stick out the most, its fangs bared with red blood covering them. Its tail is wrapped around a thickly drawned “p”.

I turn my gaze to the man in the middle when he moves slightly. He’s a little shorter than the other man, but wider with thick, corded muscles. His dirty blonde hair falls right to his shoulders, a light beard covering his jawline. I can’t quite tell his eye color, but my eyes do stop on the way his shirt clings to his muscular form.

Tasty.

Like the other man, he has tattoos, but only on his right arm, and I’m guessing his chest, a small snippet of ink sticking out from the hemline of his shirt.

On instinct, my eyes move to the man standing to the left of him and he instantly looks familiar. I squint, trying to figure out how I know him and it's only when those blue eyes stare into mine that I realize how.

“The… ball,” I push out.

His lips turn up into a grin and he nods as my gaze dances down to his neck where a tattoo, identical to the python of the other man sits. That definitely wasn’t on his neck at the party.

“Tattoo,” I bite out, not wanting to form too many words.

He reaches up, dragging his long fingers along the ink, and yeah, the gesture definitely shouldn’t seem so sensual considering the circumstances. “I was supposed to be incognito so Griffin covered it.” He jerks a finger over at the brunette.

Okay, they’re giving me names which could mean they don’t care about me knowing their identities because I’m not going to make it out of here alive.

But that’s not exactly the vibe I’m getting here. They seem too… relaxed.

Especially considering the fact that they drugged and kidnapped me.

“But you still noticed him, so I’m not sure how well thedisguiseworked,” the brunette, Griffin, says.
