“Suck this dick,” Elijah tells her, slumping on the couch as the blonde kneels between his legs.

I down my drink, stand, and stroll toward them. “Well, well, well, what do we have here?”

Their attention snaps toward me as I join them.

Elijah narrows his eyes at me. “What the fuck do you want, Lombardi?” His voice has an irritating slur.

He nudges the girl with his knee, and she starts unbuckling his belt.

I work my jaw. “Stay away from Gigi Marchetti.”

He scoffs. “Not happening. She’s my fiancée.”

“What?” The woman jerks away from him. “You’re getting married?”

He grabs her long hair and pushes her head down. “Shut the fuck up and put your lips on my cock.”

She winces in pain.

I withdraw my gun from my pocket.

Elijah relaxes against the couch cushion, unfazed. “You kill me, you’ll piss Cristian Marchetti off.”

I shrug. “In case you didn’t hear, I’m already on his kill list.”

His shoulders stiffen some. “What do you want, then?”

“I told you.”

He smirks. “Too bad. Gigi is mine.”

Gigi is mine.

I swallow back the urge to slit his throat and throw him out the window for uttering those words.

But I can’t kill him yet.

I need to use him first.

Today’s to-do list:

Meet my baby brother.

Spend all day at the hospital with Natalia, my father, and the newest member of the Marchetti family.

We haven’t had many days that were just … positive.

That’s all today will be. A positive party.

I drive to the hospital alone. Since Bruno is sick, I instructed him to stay home and rest. The trip to the hospital is short, and my father went to great lengths to ensure they provided privacy for them during Natalia’s stay.

My first mistake is paying more attention to my playlist than my surroundings. No way will that make my father proud. My second mistake is assuming daylight offers me safety. I should’ve known better.

I park in the hospital’s lot, step out of my car, and stop when I notice a black car brake behind mine, blocking me in. Antonio appears in front of me, the gun in his hand pointed in my direction, sending shivers down my spine.

So much for that to-do list and a positive party, dammit.
