I move my fingers away from her sensitive clit and wrap my arms around her body, holding her close to me as we both pant and gasp through our release. My heart races, and I’m sure Tee will be able to feel it pounding against her back.

When we’ve both finally calmed down and caught our breath, I slowly pull out. We both groan and I hate how lost I feel now that I’m not buried deep inside her. I lean down to help her pull her leggings and panties up.

I notice the trail of my cum dripping down the inside of her thigh, and I slide my finger over it, cleaning her up. Just as I’m about to wipe my hand on my jeans, she grabs my hand.

Keeping her eyes locked with mine, she pulls my finger to her lips, dragging it into her mouth so she can taste me. My eyes rollas I groan, and I can feel her smiling around my finger. My angel will be the fucking death of me,I think.

I take in her just fucked look, noting the redness around her throat, and the start of a few love bites that she will definitely have over her neck.

“Looks like I’ve marked you,” I say, as I gently press a kiss against her red throat. “I didn’t hurt you, did I?”

She shakes her head as she reaches out and lays her hand on my cheek. “I know you’d never hurt me. Besides, I quite like wearing your marks. Everyone can see I belong to you, then.”

“Keep saying things like that, and I will never get you home,” I growl as I capture her lips with mine.

She chuckles, but quickly kisses me back. It’s a deep, searing kiss, full of passion and love, just like they always are.

“I love you, and I can’t wait to start our lives together tomorrow,” I say with a smile.

“Me too,” she replies, capturing my lips one more time before we have to get dressed so I can take her home.

We only have one more day to get through, and we can finally start our future together. I hate the idea of leaving my family behind, but if I want any chance of a better life, I have to do this. Besides, I meant what I said before. I would do anything to give Teigan whatever she wants. She’s my everything.

After what feels like the longest night of my life, I find myself standing in the middle of the observation room…waiting. I feel like that’s all I’ve fucking done recently—wait. And I’m getting antsy. I can literally feel ants crawling around under the surface of my skin, and it’s driving me crazy.

An overwhelming urge to just start screaming overcomes me, but I’m not alone. My brother, Liam, is already looking at me out of the corner of his eye. Both Finn and Shane are also there, giving me a wide berth, like I’m so volatile, I might explode at any moment.

I don’t blame them. I’m on edge, and with my anger bubbling this close to the surface, everyone is on the warpath if they’re not careful. I’ve lost track of how many people I’ve yelled at this morning alone, and it’s only nine.

There’s no noise in the room, we’re all just standing around waiting. Bree and Kian are in the interrogation room that has been set up with a table and chairs, making it look like it’s more of a meeting than what it should be—us torturing this asshole until he tells us where Teigan is. But Bree wants to handle this diplomatically, which is why I’m in here under lock and key, being babysat by my brothers.

Kian walks into the room, closing the door behind him. He gives me a quick look before wincing at the glare I give him in return. “He’s here. Ethan is escorting him inside now.”

Nobody says anything. What the hell is there to say?

It’s not long until the door into the interrogation room opens, and we all surge forward to stand in front of the one-way window. To the people in the other room, it looks just like a mirror, but to us, it’s a window to see into the room. There are speakers throughout the otherwise soundproof room, and the audio of their conversation is being played into our room by Kellan, who is watching from home on the security cameras.

We didn’t all need to be here, but everyone seemed to have a good enough reason. I wasn’t going to let anyone talk me out of coming.

A man in his mid forties enters the room. His dark hair is short all over, with splashes of grey spouting through the brown. He’s dressed in charcoal pressed trousers and a crisp white shirt. The lines on his face and around his eyes give away his age, while the rest of him looks more muscular than I was expecting.

I’m sure to most people, this guy doesn’t look bad for his age. But there’s a glint in his eyes that sets me on edge. The way he looks at Bree, like he underestimates her, and something more sinister, reminds me exactly who this guy is.

He’s one of the leaders of a secret underground sex trade business for a reason. He’s a creep, and he shouldn’t be treatedas anything other than hostile, even if Bree doesn’t want to make waves.

Liam takes a step closer to the glass when the man holds out his hand to Bree. She shakes it and gives him a polite smile, but her face is all business. This guy is a fool if he underestimates Brianna Doughty.

“Thank you so much for meeting with me today,” Bree starts politely, as she motions with her hand for him to take a seat in the chair opposite hers.

As they both sit down, Bree casually rests her elbows on the table in front, leaning forward slightly like she doesn’t have a care in the world, whilst The Sheriff maintains his stiff, upright posture.

“Thank you, Mrs Doughty. It’s a pleasure to finally meet you,” he replies, his voice dripping with fake charm.

“Please, call me Bree. And what should I call you? The Sheriff seems a little formal, if not terribly inaccurate,” Bree replies with a hint of sarcasm, which causes Kian to chuckle beside me.

“You’ll have to excuse my lack of a more appropriate name. As I’m sure you can imagine, anonymity is important in my line of work.” His voice takes on a posh tone, far more upper class than he looks.

“Yes, I imagine in your line of work, anonymity is essential to avoid being held accountable.” There’s a bite to Bree as she snaps her response back at him, and it’s clear she’s trying to hold her tongue as much as she can. Something the feisty redhead is not known for.
